 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 1ST NOVEMBER, 2024 TEXT: Psalms 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE GOOD SHEPHERD (5) Situations and circumstances that surround us can not stop God from blessing us. Sometimes he may not take enemies away from you rather he will bless you abundantly in their midst to the extent that your blessings can shock them to death. God does not stop at that too, he ensures constant protection to seal the blessings he has allocated for you. This quality of God shows in the way the good shepherd provides great meal for the sheep, surrounded by wild animals and oil the heads of the sheep to prevent flies causing disease from biting them. TOPIC: Lessons from the good shepherd (4) The sheep have complete trust in the shepherd. Regardless of where the shepherd goes, the sheep has confidence that no evil will befall it. In the face of terrific danger, no running away because the shepherd is right there amidst them. Not only that the shepherd guides the sheep the path they should go with his staff and also uses the rod to rebuke any sheep that want to walks away from the fold. This will rejuvenate , restores and refresh their body. The good shepherd also ensures that he carves out a path that is free of destruction where you are assure that no danger can occur suddenly. TOPIC: Lessons from the good Shepherd (2) The Good shepherd is not just bothered about feeding the sheep but he prioritizes giving the flock best food with water that will nourishes their soul.Green pastures are the best meal for the sheep, the shepherd will lead the sheep to where the water is clean and green pastures that nourishes their soul. Getting such a place is not a easy task but the shepherd will ensure he leads them there   When God leads you, he knows what is best for you, all you can do is to yield to his leading by following him to wherever he goes. TOPIC: Lessons from the good shepherd (1) The song ( psalm 23) was written by David and he employed a literary device known as allegory to convey lessons via the imagery of a shepherd . Understanding the role of a shepherd in an ancient near East culture will give you a perfect understanding of the message David was conveying via the most popular song of David. The shepherd provides food for the sheep. It is his primary assignment. What the sheep will eat is not its business but that of the shepherd . Whatever you have or you have become is by the almighty God regardless of your efforts. God demand praise and thanksgiving from his people. The more you give him praise, the more he will give you and perfect everything that concerns your. Ten lepers who had faith in Jesus cried out for mercy and Jesus commanded their healing. TOPIC: God’s grace is sufficient for you.  The grace of God is not limited by any life situation. The grace of God is Christ power and enabler to go through difficult times and rigours of life. The grace of God that was made available for Christ while on earth and after resurrection is available for all Christians. All we need is to draw from it on daily basis. Paul was faced with a serious infirmity. He sought God on three different occasions regards his troubles but God told him that his grace is sufficient for him. TOPIC: Take heed Just like a new born baby, there are stages of growth before a baby can stand and walk. At a time, the baby change body position, sits down, crawl, standing, toddling and walking. This is similar to a believer too, at the point of standing and walking overconfidence can sets in as you believe too much in yourself that nothing can brings you down again. The scripture warns that anyone that thinks he is now standing and walking in Christ should be careful or else he will fall. The best time to be watchful is when you are in good standing with God because our enemy is not at rest. He is lurking around and hoping to strike at our unguarded moments. TOPIC: I am that I am God reveal himself to people in diverse ways and his revelations forms our experience and theology. You cannot know beyond what God reveals to you. He is all knowing but does not reveal everything about him to us. If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. TOPIC: Walk in the day There is a time and season for everything on earth. The day is the time where your path is full of light and if you walk in the day you cannot stumble. It is also a moment when you have all the strength to pursue all your life dreams and aspirations.  In the scripture, Jesus emphasized the need for him to walk in the day. For three and half years of his ministry on earth, he laboured greatly because he knew his time was short. The result was a lasting impact on generations to come. Learn from Jesus. This is the second death. TOPIC: No place for Cowards. “ cowards die many times before their death “. The cowards are also known as the fearful. They are too timid to identify publicly as Christians. They are usually afraid of what people may say about their faith. The cowards are not willing to risk their lives for the gospel. The cowards will not speak for Christ in public places because they do not want to loose benefits of their positions.    The scripture made it clear that there is no place for cowards in heaven. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.' Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. TOPIC: The Book shall open  Nothing is hidden under the sun. Whatever is hidden to men is known to God. You can successfully deceive your pastor, spouse, parents, relatives , church members that you are a committed Christian but on that D day. All your actions and deeds that you thought are hidden are all written and documented in a book. The book will open and all your deeds and actions shall be made known to all.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 18TH OCTOBER 2024 TEXT: Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing Now it springs up do you not perceive it I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.' TOPIC: God will make a way God is a specialist at impossibilities. He suspends natural laws to prove that he is God and nothing is too hard for him to do. In our walk with God, we are bound to be at cross roads, face with crises and situations beyond our control. Terrible situations can make you forget that you have God and you think it is over. For the children of Israel that this text was directed to, they were in a state of hopelessness, God assured them that he will make a way for them. Are you also at a dead end, cross road or a difficult situation? Remember that you have a God, call on to him and he will make a way for you. It is only humans that things meet unaware, nothing meets God unaware and no emergency in his dictionary .      No situation is big enough to cripple God. Whatever the situation or circumstances you may have found yourself , just trust in God that it is working for you. God is ever in charge of the universe and he knows exactly what to do in order to fix what is broken and replace it with what is better for those that love him and align with his purpose.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 16TH OCTOBER 2024 TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. TOPIC: Be thankful Thankfulness is a state of the heart. It is natural to thank God when things are good and rosy for you. It is unusual and very rare to show gratitude when things are bad and did not go our way. In today’s text, God demands that we should be thankful in all circumstances . When it is good, thank God and when it is bad , still thank God. Thankfulness is an attitude that should be inculcated as believers. Knowing fully that good times and what we called “bad times” cannot hinder God from accomplishing his purpose in our lives. Whatever your lot in life, choose to thank God because he knows the best for you and everything is turning around for your favour. I will say it again Rejoice' TOPIC: Rejoice The word ‘Rejoice’ appeared six times in the book of Philippians. Apostle Paul was imprisoned , awaiting trial when he penned this epistle . It was categorised as one of the prison epistles and it was one of the finest epistles written. In his terrible state, he found joy in the Lord and was still hopeful that regardless of the persecution, the church will stand. Tough times will always come but tough people who have found joy in the LORD will overcome. Tough times are like wind storms with strength to throw people away from Gods presence except they are deeply rooted in Christ and determined in their minds to abide still in him. To rejoice is a choice. Choose to be happy at all times by making constant efforts to seek God at all times even when it appears that you cant even see him in the your darkest night.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 14TH OCTOBER 2024 TEXT: 1Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing. TOPIC: Pray without ceasing Praying is a spiritual act. It is your spiritual make up. It is communication in the spirit realm. Prayer is not transactional but relational. You do not Pray because you are desperately in need or in crises. You Pray because you are connected to God and it’s an act of worship and fellowship with your creator.    Paul admonished the church in Thessalonica to nt stop praying. Their hope and trust should continually be on God regardless of happenings around then. No situation should stop you from communicating with God. Be determined in your mind that no matter what you will not stop praying. Key point: prayer is the key to access the throne of grace Prayer: Father! Help me to pray at all times in Jesus name.
