The considerate God

Daily insight with God Friday 1st May, 2020 Text: Leviticus 12: 1-8 Topic: The considerate God Golden Text: Lev 12:8 If she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.'" God is considerate of your situation , he will not ask you for what you do not have, he knows what you can afford to give and he will not coerce you to give beyond your capacity. God's law communicated through Moses made a provision for two pigeons for those who could not afford ram and turtle dove for purification offering. Had it been there was no provision for two pigeons instead of a Ram and a turtle dove Jesus could have been denied of purification because of the social status of his parents. God will not demand for what you do not have. He sees your heart and he knows what you can afford to give willingly. Others may not consider your s

Strange fire!

Daily insight with God Thursday 30th April, 2020 Text: Leviticus 10:1-7 Topic: Strange fire Golden Text: Lev 10:1 Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to his command.       A man lost his two oldest sons in a day. What a shock! The sons were priests in training and potential high priests who died at the point of serving God. It was a bad day for the man and he could not even mourn because it was forbidden for him.             The man was Aaron and the two sons were : Nadab and Abihu who died by offering a strange fire on God's altar. What made the fire strange? It was not authorized by God and their disobedience were punished by devouring fire from God which claimed their lives. God had to sanction them because he must be honoured.       God's standards have not changed. Does your life as a servant or a child of God dishonour him among the brethren and unbelie

Order the morning

Daily insight with God Wednesday 29th April, 2020 Text: Job 38:12-13 Topic: Order the morning Golden Text: Job 38:12 "Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place, God is the creator of the universe, there is a mystery behind all he creates and he did not just create, he have a purpose in mind.            Job had raised questions and calling God to respond why he deserved such a fate when he had not sinned against him. God's response was shocking, instead of answering his questions he confronted him with hard questions to solve which are mysterious one of the questions was, "Have you ever given orders to the morning,... This question is a eye opener into the evils that is being program into the day on the daily basis which we are not aware of. A day God has created to be enjoyed can become a day of sorrow if we do not rise early in the day and command the day to shake out the wickedness of the wicked so that we can have a destiny fulfillin

Where do you put your trust?

Daily insight with God Tuesday 28th April, 2020 Topic: Where do you put your trust? Text: Psalm 20:7         Moment of troubles  usually reveal where we put our trust. Our response during this period will tell whether we really put our trust in man, devil, self or God.       David  had seen people, nations kingdoms trusting in chariots, horses in moment of wars for victory but the end of it was great fall. David was confident that trust in the name of God guaranteed victories.        Those who trust in God cannot be disappointed, others may fail but God has never failed anyone who put his trust in his name. Where do you put your trust? Examine yourself and make amendments. Prayer: Father help me to put my trust only in your name in Jesus name.

Your voice shall be heard in the day of trouble

Daily insight with God Monday 27th April 2020 Text : Psalm 20: 2 Topic: Your voice shall be heard in the day of trouble .   Distress calls are often placed in moment of troubles and sudden emergencies. At times response to this may not come on time due to unforeseen delays on the way. This affirms that it is possible to be in distress, call and help may not come. No wonder the psalmist prayed "may the LORD answer you when you are in distress"             Crying out aloud in moments of trouble may not guarantee the right help. The Hebrew word for hear in the text means to respond by paying attention. This connotes that there must be a familiarization between the caller and the receiver of the call. Relationship with God is the only guarantee to be heard in the day of trouble because you have been together in fellowship and he knows your voice. Do not wait till the day of trouble before you start seeking God, start seeking him now, he desire a deep relationship with you,

Staying pure

Daily insight with God Sunday April 26th 2020 Topic: Staying pure Text: Psalm 119:9      The word purity is gradually becoming uncommon in the world today. The world is polluted, contaminated but God's standard has not changed. He desires for us to stay pure if we must walk with him.       The scripture made it obvious that the only way to stay pure is to read, meditate on the word of God and doing what it says. The word of God is spirit and life. It is able to cleanse us from our faults and make us upright with him.      Staying pure is commitment to feed on the word of God daily  to the level where the word dwell richly in you, becomes a light to guide you in this dark world and keep your feet from stumbling into pit. This cannot be achieved on your own but by relying on God for strength and help. Prayer: Father draw me closer to your word day by day in Jesus name.

True blessedness

Daily insight with God Saturday 25th April, 2020 Topic: True blessedness Text: Psalm 119:1-8 Golden Text: Psa 119:2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.       In the world today some derive their happiness in  material things such as wealth, academic achievements, fame but true happiness is found in God alone. All what you think make you happy and feel blessed can be taken away in a moment.       The psalmist emphasized that true happiness is in meditating on the word of God and seeking God with all our heart. Satisfaction and contentment is found in God alone. The soul can only be satisfied by seeking God with integrity and righteousness.   Let us beware of seeking material things at the expense of our soul because it will not profit a man if he gain the whole world and loses his soul.       No matter our achievements on earth if we are not seeking God, our happiness cannot be completed. This complete happiness is joy found only in God and it

The good Shepherd

Daily insight with God Friday April 24th 2020 Topic : The good Shepherd Text : Ezekiel 34: 11-24 Golden Text:  "'For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. Ezek 34: 11       The chief role of a Shepherd is to feed the sheep, guide them with the staff, instruct them with the rod, protect them from wild animals and thieves.        God alleged the shepherds who were the spiritual leaders of the nation of Israel at that time for taking care of themselves at the expense of the flock, abandoning and scattering the sheep, they were much more concerned about their health than the health of the flock, ruled harshly and brutally, keep the best for themselves. God was not happy with them and he promised to sack them and take charge of the flock.        Jesus is the good Shepherd, he is the only one that care truly for your soul, it is only in him you can find security, fulfillment,  satisfaction and peace. Your pastor may fail

The merciful God

Daily insight with God Thursday 23rd April 2020 Topic: The merciful God Text: Ezekiel 39:21-29  Golden Text:  "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now bring Jacob back from captivity and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. Eze 39:25       One of the attributes of God is his mercies and if it has not been of his mercies we would have been consumed.       God promised to restore the nation of Israel to their land when all hope had been lost on returning. He said he would not remember their unfaithfulness again.if not for God's mercies they would have been consumed in Babylon but God promised to exhibit his sovereignty by taking them out of exile        God's mercies is reaching on to us today and willing to restore us to God if we are willing to accept him back. He will not remember our sins or unfaithfulness. Do not loose hope concerning your situation God's mercies is able to restore all a

Pride brings disgrace

Daily insight with God Wednesday April 22nd April, 2020 Topic : Pride brings disgrace Text : Ezekiel 28:13-19 Golden Text : So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Ezek 28 : 16       The consequences of pride are outrageous, the price is usually a painful shame that hit people so much, humble them and often cost them their exalted position which they often boast of.          King of Tyre was an epitome of perfect beauty, model of perfection and full of wisdom. He had been faithful to his creator until wickedness of pride was found in him and he was demoted, banished, expelled out in disgrace out of God's glory and presence.       Before you yield to the spirit of pride consider the consequences. Do not overestimate yourself, never think that without you there is nobody else that can do it, whatever skill you have acquired or talents that God has given you, use it to serve God with all humility, Do

God resist the proud

Daily insight with God Tuesday 21st April, 2020 Topic: God resist the proud Text: Ezekiel 28:1-10 Golden Text:   "Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "'In the pride of your heart you say, "I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas." But you are a man and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god. Eze 28:2      " Pride goes before a fall". It is easier to say that "I am not proud" until the world is at your feet.       God pronounced fiery judgment on the king of Tyre for claiming to be god and exhibiting pride as a result of his wisdom, beauty and riches.      There are many ways we may also claim to be gods today by oppressing the poor, infringing on the right of others, treat others as if they are inferior to you, acting as if you are better than others, dominating on others, always want to have the last say, looking down on others and so on.        God

When your pain becomes a message.

Daily insight with God Monday 20th April, 2020 Topic : When your pain becomes a message Text :Ezekiel 24: 15-27 Golden Text :"Son of man, with one blow I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes. Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears. Ezek 24:16         In our walk with God, God at times deliberately allow us to pass through some hard situations so that it can be a lesson of faith or message to others. God knows how to turn our messes into messages and make our life a symbol to reach out to others. Ezekiel's life and ministry was a prove of this.          Ezekiel had terrible experiences which God often used as a message to the nation of Israel to repent from their sins, one of those experiences was the lost of his dearest life. God had earlier told him that his wife would die and he must not cry. It eventually happened, he could not cry, it was a very hard thing to do but he obeyed God. The people had empathy for him, they knew it was a sign and symb

Intercessors wanted!

Daily insight with God Sunday 19th April, 2020 Topic: Intercessors wanted! Text: Ezekiel 22: 23- 31 Golden Text : "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. Eze 22:30       Unpleasant situation may linger in our nations, families and lives till we have people who are ready to stand in gap in prayers and say "enough is enough". This set of people are called Intercessors. They are highly wanted and needed to make  difference in our lives and society.       God said in the text if he had seen a man to stand in gap for the nation he would not destroy it despite their atrocities but the painful part of it was that he found none.        The essence of revelation is to stir up the hearts of men to actions in prayers and plead for mercies of God to prevail. We are in the era of too much talk on revelations with little or no actions. God is looking for

Go and make disciples

Daily insight with God Saturday 18th April, 2020 Topic: Go and make disciples Text : Matthew 28:16 - 20 Golden Text : Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... Matthew 28:19 You are saved to save others. It is the duty of every believer to make disciples of Christ because it is a command from Christ. The word Go that Jesus used in the original text means as you transverse, journey, walk, go about. This connotes that as you go about your daily activities make disciple by telling others about Christ. The death and resurrection of Christ should propel us to tell others about the gospel of Christ. It is only disciples that will make heaven, it is our duty to invite new believers to church where they will be nurtured and feed with the word of God which will make them mature and become like Christ. Prayer : Father help me to witness christ to others in Jesus name.

"Are you even my friend ?"

Daily insight with God Friday 17th April, 2020 Topic : "Are you even my friend ?" Text: John 21:15-17 Golden Text: The third time he said to him, " Simon son of John, do you love me?" John 21 :17a  How will you feel if your intimate friend of about four years suddenly ask you; "are you even my friend? " This will shock you and you will be not be at rest until you find out what you have done if really you are a friend. For Peter he  had denied his Master three times and Jesus really needed to be sure if truly he loves him before committing great task to him. Jesus mission was to reinstate Peter because he was the Centre that held the disciples together. He asked him "do you love me"? three times and each time he responded back with "I love you" , he committed task of feeding and taking care of his sheep to him. Peter had learnt from his mistake, Jesus first used Greek word translated as Agape which means unconditional love for the

And Peter went back to fishing

Friday 16th April, 2020 Topic: And Peter went back to fishing Text: John 21:1-14 Golden Text: "I am going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, John 21:3     Backsliding is not sudden, it's a gradual process, and it is simply deviating from God's plan and purpose.     Satan almost sifted Peter away but thank God for Jesus who prayed for him. Peter had deviated from God's purpose for his life, he had returned to his profession out of hopelessness and discouragement Jesus who is love find him again. They felt bad that Jesus did not meet them witnessing but they were on daily business fishing. Jesus drew them closer and had breakfast with them.     Jesus understand our situation, he is a loving God, who is always willing to draw us back to himself. Eventhough you have slided away from God's plan he is able to restore you back if you are willing to allow him back to your life. Prayer: father arise and heal my backsliding in Jesus name.

Light in the midst of confusion

Daily Insight with God Wednesday April 15th 2020 Text : Luke 24 : 13-33 Topic : Light in the midst of confusion Golden Text: .. "were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us o6 the road and opened the scripture to us? "Luke 24:32        Troubles and challenges of life have a way of making one to forget the words and promises of God.        Cleopas and the other disciple were in a confused state on their way they could not hide their feelings about the resurrection. The tomb was empty, the women said that he had resurrected but they did not see Jesus. Jesus understood their plight, he appeared to them as a stranger, opened the scripture to them, cleared their doubt and eventually revealed himself as Christ.       Whatever God told you in the light do not doubt it when you find yourself in darkness. If you are in doubt or confused, search out the scriptures and do not neglect the fellowship of the brethren. Prayer : Lord Jesus Let your light penetrate e

Thomas also doubted

Tuesday April 14th 2020 Topic: Thomas also doubted Text: John 20: 24-29 Golden Text: ..  "unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hands into his side, I will not believe it" John 20:25 Seeing is believing but faith is believing without seeing with your physical eyes. Without faith it is impossible to please the Lord, the just shall be lived by faith and not by happenings around them. Thomas was highly practical, when his colleagues told him that they have seen Jesus, he didn't believe, eventhough Jesus told told them that he would rise again after his death, he chose not to believe because before then no man had died, rose on his own, continue to live and he said "unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hands into his side, I will not believe it" Jesus knew this, he was not hard on him, he appeared again so that his doubts could strengthen his faith. At t

Fake news Alert

Monday 13th April, 2020 Topic: Fake news Alert Text:Matthew 28: 11- 15 Golden Text: "You are to say his disciples came at night and stole him away while we were asleep. ' Matthew 28:13  Fake news spread faster because it is usually twisted and have elements of truth. The purveyor of fake news always have a purpose and they can pay any price to get this done but the only way to terminate a fake news is to create a fake news alert with evidences to discredit the false news. The chief priests bribed the soldiers with large sum of money to twist the truth about christ resurrection and spread fake news about it that he did not resurrect but was stolen.  Jesus's life after resurrection discredited the fake new, some people till today still believe the fake news because they have closed their eyes to the evidences showing that the soldier's report is fake news. Whatever the report of the Devil you hold on to that made you believe that Jesus did not rise again, it's

Unstoppable resurrection

Sunday 12th April, 2020 Text: Matthew 27:62-66, 28: 1-6 Topic : unstoppable resurrection Golden Text : He is not here;he has risen just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matt 28:6    The irony of Jesus's resurrection story was that even his enemies remembered that he said he would rise again and did everything possible to ensure that he would not rise but his disciples had forgotten, they were afraid and troubled. They were shocked that their Lord died and locked themselves up in their closets out of fear that the pharisees and chief priest could get them arrested too.    The enemies thought that they had put a stop to his resurrection but they did not know that Jesus is a man and also a God, Death could not hold him captive, even in the Grave he exercised his lordship and authority by totally disarming the devil, took the keys of death away from him, set his captives free and rose again on his accord. The seal, the guards, the stone could not stop Jesus from re

Strengthened in Prayer

Saturday 11th April, 2020 Topic: Strenghtened in prayer Text : Luke 22: 39-44 Golden Text: An angel appeared from heaven and strengthened him. Luk 22 : 43 Pray deep before you found yourself in a deep pit. Do not wait until you are in a problem before you start praying it may be too late. Jesus prayed ahead of trouble and he was strengthened to bear the cup of death and suffering which is critical to his purpose on earth It was a moment of darkness, he was mocked, he was chastened, he was crucified, even right on the cross he was tempted to come down and saved himself. He endured it all because his spirit had been strengthened at Gethsemane to abide in the will of God.      Moments of darkness are inevitable, it will surely come with a force to sway us away from the faith but we should be prepared for it on daily basis as we strengthen our faith in prayer and in the word of God which is Spirit and life. Prayer: Lord Jesus do not allow my faith in you to fail in midst of challeng

Let your confidence be in God

Friday 10th April 2020 Topic: Let your confidence be in God Text: Luke 22 : 31 - 34 Golden Text : But he replied " Lord I am ready to go with you to prison and to death." It takes a spirit filled person to walk with the Lord because God is Spirit. It is easier to say I will do great things for God but it is hard if you are not willing to ask for the spirit of God to help you. Satan desired to sift Peter. He wanted to sieve away his spiritual strength, stamina faith, confidence and left him with chaffs of story telling and irrelevance to the agenda of God but Jesus prayed for him that his faith should stand. Even at this point Peter was still running mouth that he would die with him and Jesus looked at him and said before cock crow you will deny me three times Let your confidence be in God, it is easier to say I can't fall to certain temptation until you find yourself there. Do not boast in the flesh but rather let your confidence be in God. Prayer : Father help me

The necessity of the Lord's supper

Thursday 9th April, 2020 Topic: The necessity of Lord's supper. Text : Luke 22 :7- 19 Golden Text : " This is my body given for you;do this in remembrance of me." The Lord's supper is very critical in Christian worship and testimonies abound of healing, deliverance, confession, repentance, commitment and dedication of lives to christ that have taken place during Celebration of the Lord's supper. Jesus had the last passover with his disciples and seized the opportunity to explain the significance of his death by breaking the bread which represents his body that he offered for the sins of the world, the wine which represents his blood shed to take away sins of humanity and the seal of the new covenant. He was simply telling them that blood of animals will no longer be valid in taking away sins but my blood alone will now be sufficient when I offer my body via death. The Lord's supper should not be taken ignorantly but with thanksgiving to God who offered C

Do not yield to Satan

Wednesday 8th April, 2020 Text: Luke 22:1-6 Topic: Do not yield to Satan Golden Text : Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve.Luke 22:3 Life is a stage,  with entries and exits. The script has been written but we have responsibilities to choose the roles we want to play. It has been written that someone would betray Jesus, nobody was assigned to play the role, it could have been John, Andrew, Peter or James but Judas chose to play the role. Devil was actively looking for someone to carry out the role out of the disciples,  Judas despite his anointing, apostolic grace, exploits with Christ  yielded to Satan and sold his master for the price of a slave. Devil can possess anyone to achieve his purpose if you  refuse to work on your weaknesses and live a disciplined life in Christ. Watch your life closely and pray without ceasing so as not to yield to Satan. Prayer :Father do not allow me to be a vessel to accomplish Devil's purpose on earth in Jesus name.

Give God your best

Tuesday 7th April, 2020 Text: Matthew 26:6-14 Topic: Give God your best Golden Text:Mat 26:13 I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."    Giving cannot be separated from worship. A worship is not complete without honoring God with what you have. God deserves the best and he cannot take his eyes off from a offering out of a devoted heart to him.      The woman in the text poured a very expensive perfume on Jesus's head who was reclining at the table. She honoured Jesus as a form of worship to appreciate great things he had done for her. Others thought it was a waste for her to be pouring expensive oil which could have been sold to cater for the poor, Jesus saw it as a worship, an anointing in preparation of his body for burial and he invoked uncommon blessings on the woman which would make her relevant in as much the gospel of Christ is being preach on earth.     Do not withhold yo

Jesus is the way to peace

Monday 6th April, 2020 Topic: Jesus the way to peace Text : Luke 19: 41-44 Golden Text: and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes.Luke 19:42 There are so many ways humans have tried to find peace in this world but the end of it is sorrows, troubles and pains. The more they chase the peace, the more it elude them because what will give them peace has been hidden from them. Devil has hidden their eyes from the way of peace. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because what would give them peace was right there among them but they rejected it. Same way Jesus is bothered right now, Jesus had been made a peace for us, there is no one that walks with him that will not experience peace in the world. This peace is rest of mind, comfort, joy, hope in the midst of troubles, pains and uncertainties of life. It is only in Jesus you can find peace, He is the giver of peace, Have you been swayed away from the path of etern

Jesus is King

Sunday 5th April, 2020 Text : Luke 19 : 28-40 Topic: Jesus is King Golden Text : "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Luke 19:38    A king has a domain, power and authority which he exercised on his domain. Jesus's power, authority, knowledge, wisdom, glory is unlimited.   Jesus reigns on the earth, he didn't need any messenger or aides to tell him what is happening on the earth, his eyes are on everywhere, he knew where a colt that had not been ridden was tied, he rode on colt to symbolise that he is prince of Peace and his kingdom is peace. He  is an embodiment of power and authority, demons and diseases trembled before him, darkness disappeared in his presence, people saw this and worshipped him. They hailed hossanah because they were convinced that he is the only one that can save them from their troubles. His glory filled the place even the Pharisees felt uncomfortable with the way he

The Ox knows his master.

Saturday 4th April, 2020 Topic: The Ox knows his master Text: Isaiah 1: 2-3 Golden Text: The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner's manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand."Isaiah 1:3    The ox is usually a strong animal, mostly castrated and often wild because they grazed in harsh conditions or used as beast burden when yoked together. Despite its strength and wildness, Ox still recognize and understand his master. " This quality of ox made God to used it as an allegory to call the Jewish nation who have been rebellious to God's divine instructions and ignored his constant warnings to repent from their sins.     God have revealed himself to man and he will keep sending his words of salvation to all men because it is not his desire for anyone of us to perish. Let us not be without understanding by ignoring his words of salvation which is an extension of his mercies to us but let us examine our lives and do necessary ammendments so that

The soul who sins will die.

Friday 3rd April, 2020 Text: Ezekiel 18:1-4 Topic: The soul who sins will die Golden Text :.... The soul who sins is the one who will die. Ezekiel 18:4     To err is human and to forgive is divine.    For every sin there is a consequence, no sinner will go unpunished and the wages of sin is death.        The nation of Israel failed to take responsibilities for their sins, they were playing the blame game, they assumed that they were suffering from the sins of their ancestors, it became a proverb until God spoke through prophet Ezekiel that the proverb will no longer be valid and everyone will be responsible for his sins.     It is not the desire of God for us to be separated from him. To be separated from God is to be dead spiritually, failure to repent from sins may lead to physical death and eventually eternal separation from God. Examine yourself, are you still living in sin? Repent from it today before it is too late. Prayer : Lord Jesus help me to repent from my sins so that

Critical assignment

Thursday 2nd April, 2020 Text: Ezekiel 2:1-9 Topic: Critical assignment Golden Text : You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. Ezekiel 2:7 God call his people to a specific assignment, a particular audience, and to a particular location. The ministry of Ezekiel affirmed to all these but the assignment became critical when God told him that he was sending him to obstinate and rebellious people. Ezekiel could have said No to the assignment, knowing fully well that the assignment was dangerous, must be done with great great care either they listened to him or not but he accepted the assignment because he knew the mightiness of his God through deep relationship with him together with inner assurance that his grace will be available to carry out the assignment. God's assignment is extremely important to him and that is why you need to do it with great care whatever he has committed to your hands. For every assignment there i
