Keep on praying

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 7: 7-10 TOPIC: KEEP ON PRAYING  KEY VERSE: Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Prayer is in phases, you ask, you seek, you knock. All pointing to the truth that you should not give up on God in prayers because he is committed to you as a father who have good plans and thoughts for you.      Jesus want us to persist in the place of prayer, this may be hard especially when we are in a need of what we are asking for desperately. So many people give up when what they ask does not come their way. They did not seek or bother to knock. Knowing God takes faith, focus and follow through.         So many prayers are left unanswered because of wrong motives in asking and not aligning with the will of God for us. God desires the best for us and he will give us that best in his own time if we do not give up in the place of prayer.  Prayer: Lord Jesus help me not

Do not throw your pearls to pigs

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 31ST AUGUST 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.  TOPIC: DO NOT THROW YOUR PEARLS TO PIGS                 Pigs were unclean animals according to God's law. Anyone who touched an unclean animal became ceremonial unclean and could not go to the temple to worship until the uncleanness was removed. Do not give pigs pearls because they do not know the value or its worth. Instead of being value it will be messed up in the mud.              Jesus is citing this allegory to teach his disciples that teachings on holiness should not be taught to depraved men. It will not make sense to them but we should be discerning to know those who need such teachings. This will help us to maximize our time and have a fruitful witnessing . This does not mean we should not share the gospel with unbelievers but we should be mindful of wha

Do not judge

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST, 2020 Text: Matthew 7: 1-6 Topic: Do not judge Key verse: Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.          It is not our duty to condemn people or criticize them. Only God qualifies to judge because as humans we are limited with facts. Jesus tells us to examine our own motives and conduct instead of judging others. In most cases the character that bother us in others are often the habit we have ourselves. Instead of condemning someone, check to see if you deserve the same condemnation.    Jesus do not want us to condemn or judge people at all. He forbid it. He does not want us to tear others down in other to boost our ego nevertheless it is not an excuse or reason to overlook wrong behavior of others but we should be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit by exercising discipline when necessary and such discipline should not be to pull the person down but rather to draw him closer to God. Prayer: Lord Jesus help me not to judge othe

Do not worry (3)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 29TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 6 :34 TOPIC: DO NOT WORRY (3)                    Many are anxious about what tomorrow holds but God do not want us to worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow have its own worries, Each day trouble is enough to take our attention. God is not leaving us alone to face our troubles, he will definitely take care of it if you will not worry about it. Give your attention to what God is doing now, do not be burdened about tomorrow.               Whatever tomorrow holds God will help you to deal with it. This does not mean that you should not have plans for tomorrow. There is a thin line difference between planning and worrying. In planning, you set out your goals, visions, steps, schedules and trusting God to actualize it. In worrying, you are consumed with fear thinking whether things will go well as planned. Worriers find it difficult to trust God because they are doubtful but planners trust God and their minds are at rest that God will

Do not worry (2)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 6: 31-33 Topic: Do not worry (2) Key verse: Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?            God does not want us to fuss over many things but concentrate on what matters which is the kingdom of God.God want his kingdom to be sought first, he want to take first in our lives. He want to preoccupy our thoughts and he want us to take after his character which is righteousness.              What is really important to you? Money, food, clothes, fame, wealth and others is competing for priority in our heart. The choice lies with us to give God the first priority in every area of our life. We are slaves to what we prioritize and what we prioritize is what will dominate our thoughts. Prayer: Lord Jesus help me to prioritize you above any other things in Jesus name.

Do not worry (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 27TH AUGUST 2020 TEXT:MATTHEW 6: 25-30 TOPIC : DO NOT WORRY (1)  KEY VERSE: MATTHEW 6 :25 Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?             God do not want us to worry at all about what to eat, drink or wear because he had already taken care of it.            If God cares about birds and wild flowers and ensured that they are well fed and grows well how much more you that is valuable than them. Worry have ill effects such as damaging health, affect our work, and above all affect our trust in God.              Jesus forbid us not to worry because he is aware of the negative effects of worry and it's implications. This does not implies that we should not be concerned about our basic needs but rather it means that we should be confident and be at rest that God had taken care o

You cannot serve God and riches

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 26TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 6: 24 TOPIC: YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND RICHES          You cannot serve two masters at a time faithfully without defaulting. This connotes that you can only have one master. We live in a materialistic world where  some people can do anything to get wealth . They lived all their lives storing wealth only to leave it behind.    Their love and desire for money far more exceed their commitment to their God and the salvation of their soul.          Whatever you store up, you will spend much of your time and energy thinking about. Whatever occupies more of your thoughts, time and efforts is your master. If riches increase, do not let it possess you or drive you out of the purpose of God. God alone deserves to be our master, we should serve him with all our possessions and should not allow the pursuit of wealth to make us deny our ultimate allegiance to God. Prayer: Lord Jesus possess me and do not allow my possessions to posses

Do you have a good or evil eye?

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 25TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 6: 22-23 Topic: Do you have a good or evil eye?  Key verse: Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.    The eye is the lamp of the body without it we cannot see or know what is going on in our environment . Jesus used it as an allegory to instruct his disciples to have sharp spiritual sight so that they can see clearly what God want them to do and to see the world from his point of view.      Jesus is the light of the world without light , the eyes will be bad. The evil eye looks for the things of this age, the world system where Satan is god. The evil eyes prioritize pleasures and possessions of this life which will soon fly away but the good eye keep seeing the master,  laying up treasure in heaven and serving him day and night. Prayer: Father do not allow the pleasures of this world cloud my spiritual vision in Jesus name.

Lay up treasure in heaven

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 24TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 6 : 19 - 21 TOPIC: LAY UP TREASURE IN HEAVEN KEY VERSE : Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:             "what I hoard, I lose; but what I give, I keep" whatever you do on earth to advance the kingdom of God is laying up treasure in heaven. God will not owe any man he will surely reward everyone according to his deeds           Jesus Christ made it clear that having the wrong treasures leads to our heart being at the wrong place. Whatever we treasure the most, controls us. We cannot take our earthly treasure with us, but we can send them on ahead by sharing with others in need and supporting kingdom work. If your riches are here on earth, your heart will be bound to the world system. If your riches are in heaven, you will seek those things which are above and use the things of this world for the glor

Watch against hypocrisy (3)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST 2020 TEXT Matthew 6:16-18 TOPIC: WATCH AGAINST HYPOCRISY (3) KEY VERSE: Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.           The Pharisees voluntarily fasted fasted twice a week to impress the people with their "holiness". Jesus was not condemning their fasting but their motive behind the fasting which is to seek public praise and approval.                 In giving alms, we make contact with people, In prayer, we make contact with God and in fasting we make contact with self. The three are acts of sacrifice which Jesus commended but he preferred it done quietly with sincerity of the heart. He wanted his disciples to embrace spiritual disciplines for the right motives and not for men approval and praise.  Prayer: Father help me to fast according to your purpose in Jesus name.

Watch against hypocrisy (2)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 22ND AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 6: 5-14 TOPIC: WATCH AGAINST HYPOCRISY (2) KEY VERSE: Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.                The Pharisees, Rabbis, Scribes were the model of righteousness among the Jews during  days but Jesus pointed out their hypocrisy in prayer which his disciples must avoid in their relationship with God.              The Pharisees, Scribes and Rabbis wanted to be seen as "holy", and public prayer was one way to get attention. Jesus saw through their self righteous acts, however, and taught that the essence of prayer is not public but personal communication with God. There is a place for public prayer but to pray for people to notice us indicates that we are not doing it for God         When we pray in public, is i

Watch against hypocrisy (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 6: 1-4 TOPIC: WATCH AGAINST HYPOCRISY (1) KEY VERSE: Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matt 6:2               The Jew had three ways to practice righteousness and demonstrate depth of their religious commitment : Giving alms, prayer and fasting. Jesus called them hypocrites because they do these right duties in  wrong ways with wrong motives.                The word hypocrite as used in the text means an actor, someone staging a performance to be seen and applauded. The main reason behind Christian giving is to give glory to God, the Scribes and Pharisees do it as if to give glory to God but with a hidden motive to boost their ego, receive recognition and praise of men.           It is easy to fall to the trap of hypocrisy, watch it, are you giving

Love your enemies

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5:43-48 TOPIC: LOVE YOUR ENEMIES KEY VERSE: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44              The Pharisees and the scribes had taught that "love your friends and hate your enemies". This is logical and appealing to the moral sense but Jesus told his disciples that this is not enough as Children of the kingdom. Even the so called sinners do the same. In the kingdom of God, you do like your father who love both good and evil people and cause rain to fall on both.            The word used for love in the  Greek text means to love in a moral or social sense and bless mean to speak well of them. This connotes that when your enemy is hungry give him food, if he is sick and need your help, pay his medical bills if you can afford it, if he needs cloth, clothe him. Simply be morally g

Do not retaliate

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 19TH AUGUST 2O2O TEXT:MATTHEW 5:38-44 TOPIC: DO NOT RETALIATE KEY VERSE: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. Matt 5:39              The law "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" was given to the Judge to exercise equality and justice in terms of offence and corresponding punishment but  some are using the law as an excuse to take revenge on people that hurt them. People still try to excuse their acts of revenge by saying "I was just doing to her what he did to me"                  When we are offended our first reaction is to get even but Christ teaches we should express with love back. If you are slapped for doing what is right, instead of reacting  by giving a fierce slap simply respond back in love by walking away. Such a response will put an end to fight. This is not natural, it is super natural, by teaching his disciples not to retaliate,

Do not make empty vows

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5:33-37 TOPIC: Do not make empty vows KEY VERSE:But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.Matthew 5 :37              Christ is concern about our relationship with others. He want us to tell the truth at all times and desist from making vows casually. having to back your words with vows show something is wrong. Keeping vows and promises is important. It build trust and make commitment possible in relationships. The scripture condemns making empty vows or empty oaths, giving your words while knowing you will not keep it or swearing falsely in God's name.              Vows are needed in certain circumstances only because we live in a sinful society where there is no trust. Vows were common in Jesus's era but he told his disciples not to use it. He encouraged them to live a truthful life. If we are truthful in our dealings with people there will be no need for vo

Jesus speaks on divorce

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 17TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5 :31-32 TOPIC: JESUS SPEAKS ON DIVORCE KEY VERSE: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Matthew 5:32           Marriage is sacred and binding. It is an institution ordained by God to last forever till death set apart but there are situations whereby God permit divorce. This permission is based on circumstances but it is never in his plan for couple to go separate ways           Jesus again corrected the teachings of the Pharisees and Scribes. Jesus said divorce is not acceptable except for unfaithfulness. This does not implies that divorce should automatically takes place when a spouse commits adultery. The Greek word translated unfaithful suggests a sexually immoral lifestyle, not a confessed and repented act of adultery.             Those who find out that their spo

Adultery is of the heart

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5: 27- 30 TOPIC: ADULTERY IS OF THE HEART KEY VERSE:Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.                 The seventh commandment of the Old Testament law said that it is wrong for a person to have sex with someone other than his or her spouse. The Pharisees defined adultery as the act itself probably they thought God did not see what is going on in the heart of man.                Jesus said the desire to have sex with someone other than your spouse is heart adultery and it is a sin. The intention is wrong if the act is wrong. Adultery is easy to commit no thanks to books, magazines, television and indecent dressing. The battle field is at the mind, You can control what the eyes see or what the hand touches. Failure to control at the mind may result to adultery. Prayer: Father help me to exercise control on my mind in Jesu

Settle your differences first

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5 :25-26 TOPIC: SETTLE YOUR DIFFERENCES FIRST KEY VERSE: Agree with your adversary quickly, Matthew 5:25a (NKJV)                    In Jesus's time, under Roman law an adversary could force his opponent to go before the judge if he would settle on the way to the judge he would not be tried in court. Jesus uses this law to teach his audience that they should not allow disagreement or dispute to tarry longer. In tarrying longer it could lead to hatred and bitterness.            A believer should always make the first move to make things right with the second party in case of any disagreement or dispute. Conflicts mend more easily if you are willing to make peace right away. God expect us to get things right with people around us before we come to his presence for worship Prayer: Father help me to follow the path of peace in moment of dispute in Jesus name.

You cannot serve God with grudges

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5: 23-24 TOPIC: YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD WITH GRUDGES KEY VERSE: "leave your gift there before the altar and go your way. Matthew 5:24a             Our relationship with others is very important with God and if our ways are not right with others we cannot please God.You cannot hold grudge or malice with a friend or others within your church or environment and expect God to answer your prayers.             Jesus said first settle your grudge then come and worship me. We are hypocrites if we claim to love God while we keep malice. Our attitudes toward others reflect how deep our relationships with God is. Prayer : Father help me to forgive people as soon as they offend me and do not allow me to keep grudges with them in Jesus name.

When anger becomes a great sin

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 13TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT:Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.  TOPIC: When Anger becomes a great sin.            Anger could be a great sin as murder if it is ignored or not worked on. Jesus explained to his listeners that anger which the Pharisees and Scribes justified or take with levity could take someone to hell.            The Greek word used for anger in the original text means to be enraged or provoked. Anyone that is provoke or in rage can utter hurtful words or being violent which may lead to death of either of the parties.             " For man's anger does not bring about righteous life that God desires" Exercise control on your emotions when you are angry, do not allow your emotions to control y

The Principles of God's kingdom.

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST 2O2O TEXT: MATTHEW 5 :21 TOPIC: THE PRINCIPLES OF GOD'S KINGDOM           Every kingdom is bound by moral laws, regulations and requirements. The kingdom of God is not an exception.Christ did not abolish the law the laws and commandments rather he expounded them and made them more practical and easy to comply with unlike the way the Pharisees and Scribes interpreted it.           Jesus was not doing away with the law but he was giving a comprehensive explanation of the law which was necessary because the Pharisees and the scribes had complicated the laws by their teachings geared towards their self righteousness and lifestyle. He was able to clarify this because he is God that came to dwell among men. He understand human weakness and the challenges they had with the law of Moses.            He adds nothing new, only limits and restrains some permissions which had been abused. His detailed and accurate explanation on the limits and restr

Except your righteousness exceed that of Pharisees and the scribes

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 11TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5: 20 Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. TOPIC: Except your righteousness exceed that of Pharisees and the Scribes.            The Pharisees were the most Celebrated religionist and righteous people of Jesus's time.People saw them as model of righteousness. The scribes were like the most noted teachers while the  Pharisees were like professors of it. They had good reputation among people and people looked up to them for how to live right in the society. Jesus astonished his audience when he said that their righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees and Scribes for them to go through the kingdom of God.           The Pharisees and scribes were the antagonist and enemies of Jesus's doctrines yet Jesus saw some good in them such as giving of alms, fasting, prayer, punctua

Study to do

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 10TH AUGUST 2020 TEXT MATTHEW 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  TOPIC: STUDY TO DO           Jesus studied the law, he taught it and he obeyed everything.some of his audience at the mountain were professionals at telling others what to do but they missed out the central point of God's law themselves. Jesus made it loud and clear to them that obeying God's law is more important than studying and explaining it.                 It is much easier to study God's laws and tell others to obey them than to put them to practice. Obedience to the God's commandments is more important than hours spend in studying and explaining it to others. Christianity is real and practical. Whatever you preach or teach without doing it does not have life an

CHRIST FULFILLS THE LAW

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST 2O2O TEXT:MATTHEW 5:17  TOPIC: CHRIST FULFILLS THE LAW          The law is very important aspect of Judaism. The law was handed to them by God through Moses and obedience to the law makes one righteous.               Jesus obeyed everything written in the law to the detail, he did not abolish the law or render it invalid but rather he became the law by showing us how to be right with God by having faith in him alone and not having confidence in ourselves. The flesh does not profit but The Spirit of God in us help us to obey God's law and commandments.            Are you struggling in keeping the commandments of God, surrender your life to Christ, believe in him at all times and the Holy Spirit of God will you to do that which is right as you yield to him your body and soul.  Prayer: Father help me to surrender my all to you so that Christ can fulfill the law in me in Jesus name.

You are the light of the world

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5:14-16 TOPIC: YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD KEY VERSE: Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.(KJV)    The teachings of Jesus are very rich in allegory, he uses  a very important and very familiar element: Light to explain the role of believers in the World Light does not reflect to be seen but to make others see. We are not saved to be hidden from the world by being quiet when we should speak, going along with the multitude, denying the light, allowing sin dim our light, not explaining our light to others and ignoring the needs of others. Let others see Christ in you and not your good works or religiosity. Do not shut your light off from the rest of the world rather be a beacon of truth lighting the way to Jesus for all who can see the light. Prayer: Father help me to be a beacon lighting the way to Jesus for all in Jesus name.

You are the Salt of the earth

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 7th August, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5 :13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men .( KJV)  TOPIC: You are the salt of the earth               Believers are compared to a salt. The purpose of a salt is to season a food and serve as a preservative, but if left on a bare earth surface it loses its savour and its worthless.          The essence of believers on earth is to influence the world by their lives which Jesus had taken his time to explain in the first twelve verses where certain traits or character which must be found in a disciple were discussed extensively. These set of traits are also known as Beatitudes.            Believers become worthless and of no value to God if their lives cannot affect people around them. What is worthless and of no value become a garbage to be discard away. Let us be diligent wit

Blessed are the Persecuted

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 6TH AUGUST 2O2O TEXT: MATTHEW 5:10 TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE PERSECUTED               This is the greatest of all the paradoxical statements of the beatitude. How can you be suffering and still be happy? Jesus said it is possible to be persecuted and still be happy, contented and satisfied if we abide in his righteousness             The Persecuted are called names for the sake of righteousness, they are ridiculed, they are looked down upon, they are hated, they are attacked but they endured it all with a forgiving heart. Knowing fully well that whatever evil they do against them in the course of advancing the kingdom is done to Christ and Christ will reward them and comfort them roundabout. If we endure the persecution for the sake of Christ, we shall be happy, satisfied, joyful and above all the kingdom of God shall be ours. Prayer: Father help me to endure persecution and do not allow me to miss my heavenly reward in Jesus name.

Blessed are the Peacemakers

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 5TH AUGUST, 2020 TEXT: MATTHEW 5:9 TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE PEACE MAKERS                The peace makers are the sons of God because they are concerned about their Father's business. God's burden is their burden and they are always ready to share the gospel of Christ with souls that are perishing in sin.In doing what burden God they find satisfaction, happiness and joy.             To be this kind of peacemaker you must first be saved by Christ and living a life that pleases Christ on a daily basis. It is only the saved that can save others. The peace makers live peaceably with people and do everything possible to be at peace with others. The do not propagate the gospel with violence or force but rather by love. Prayer : Father help me to live peaceably with others and grant me grace to tell others about you in Jesus name.

Blessed are the pure in heart

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD  TUESDAY 4TH AUGUST, 2020  TEXT: MATTHEW 5 :8 TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN  HEART                Purity of the heart takes place at conversion. Without salvation the heart cannot be pure. The pure in heart have an encounter with the Holy Spirit and their lives has been transformed.               They do sin but they do not remain in sin. It is only the pure in heart that can see God. Without holiness it is impossible to See God. Holiness is purity of the heart. The pure in heart are happy people because they can hear God and walk in light of his word.           The pure in heart are spiritually minded and Christ minded. They are in the world but the things of the world does not predominate their mind but the things of God. Whatever Christ will not do, the pure in Christ will not do it. Your mind can also be pure too if you allow Christ into your life and give him the full control of your life. Prayer: Father help me to yield to your Spirit so that my life can b

Blessed are the Merciful

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 3RD AUGUST, 2O2O TEXT: MATTHEW 5:7 TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL              The merciful are compassionate, they are willing and ready to help without expecting anything in return from the person. The merciful show pity to dying souls and people that are in great need              Jesus never failed to show mercy throughout his earthly ministry. He healed the sick, he made the dumb to speak, the deaf to hear, and the lame to walk. Despite all his good works he was persecuted, abused and crucified on the cross.               The merciful people are happy people because there is an inexpressible joy and satisfaction in showing mercy to others. God ensures he pay the merciful people in a great way beyond their expectations. In time of great need God is always there to meet their needs in his infinite mercies. Prayer: Father help me to show mercy to people that come my way in Jesus name.

Blessed are the Hungry and Thirsty

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST, 2020 TOPIC: BLESSED ARE THE HUNGRY AND THIRSTY TEXT: MATTHEW 5:6           The hungry and the thirsty is an idiomatic expression for strong desire. Whatever you desire, you will have. If you do not desire to be righteous you may not be righteous.          Righteousness is imputed to us by Christ, we do not merit it neither do we earn it by our good works. It is Christ living in us that make us right with God. Obedience to the Word  of God in us which is life will make us righteous.              Happy, joyful, blessed, satisfied are you when you desire Christ the righteousness of God the way you crave for food and drinks because you will be filled.  Prayer: Father I receive grace to thirst for righteousness like food and drink in Jesus name.
