The LORD is Peace

Daily insight with God Sunday 31st May, 2020 Text: Judges 6: 24 Topic: The LORD is Peace            God reveal himself to different people at different times and at his own volition for a specific purpose. It is in God's dealings with humans that we know that he is Peace and whoever have contact with him will surely have peace.             God revealed himself to Gideon in the midst of political crises, he doubted God's presence in the midst of oppression from the Midianites. They worked hard and when it was time to harvest their labours, the Midianites would attack and dispossessed them of their harvests. They lived in fear and terror to the extent of hiding in caves. It was in this situation that God appeared to Gideon. Gideon was surprised to know that God was still with them and yet no help from him. This experience changed the knowledge and perception of Gideon about God. He built an altar symbolizing God's presence and he worshipped God. It was that day he knew "

Peace: Assurance of answered prayer.

Daily insight with God Saturday 30th May, 2020 Text: Psalm 3 Topic: Peace: Assurance of answered prayer. Key verse: To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from holy hill. Psalm 3:3             Peace has been defined as security, calmness, quietness in the midst of turmoil. This peace can only be experienced out of deep communication with God in prayer which is rooted in a relationship with God.              David was in a critical moment of his life, he fled from Absalom who overthrew his government and the painful part of it was that his trusted friends and counselors were also part of the rebellion. This was enough to made him commit suicide, worried, loose hope and turned his back against God. David sought God in prayers and he found peace in him. What peace is greater than sleeping in the midst of Crisis !                The assurance of answered prayer always bring peace, whatever the crisis you are passing through, have faith in God that he is in charge of the circumstance. Peace: Fruit of the Spirit

Daily insight with God Friday 29th May, 2020 Text: Romans 12:18, Galatians 5:22 Topic: Peace: Fruit of the Spirit  Key verse: If it is possible, as far it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18           Christian living is a life that is practical, if you are a Christian, there will be evidences and one of the evidences is a peaceful life           Living a peaceful life is hard for a natural man because it will make you surrender your rights and at times you look foolish to people that surround you because they can't just understand why you always respond  to issues instead of reacting.           This kind of life is easy to live if you yield to the Holy Spirit, he will guide you, instruct you, though you may appear foolish at that instant but in the long run you will be considered a wise man. Walk in the spirit so that you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. It is impossible for a life that is not surrendered to Jesus to show forth peace because it is a

Assurance of perfect peace

Daily insight with God Thursday April 28th, 2020 Text: Isaiah 26:1-4 Topic: Assurance of perfect peace  Key verse: you will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you Isaiah 26:3             Perfect peace seems unrealistic in this world of trouble but God assures his children that they will experience perfect peace in midst of turmoil.              Perfect peace is an illusion to those that do not know the path of peace. The path of peace is righteousness and faith in Christ and anyone who tread on it will experience perfect peace in this world.               Troubles are unavoidable in this world but if your thoughts are constantly fixed on God and his words you will experience perfect peace in God. Your faith will be like a rock that is in place which cannot be shaken in midst of pressure, storms, winds because you are deeply rooted in Christ the eternal rock.  Prayer: Father help me to set my mind on you at all times and let me experience your perfec

Peace without end

Daily insight with God Wednesday 27th May, 2020 Text : Isaiah 9:1-7 Topic: Peace without end. Key verse: of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. Isaiah 9:7                The peace of God is without limits in his kingdom. It have no bounds, it is available to be enjoyed by all who have gained access to his kingdom by the blood of Jesus.                 The word used for government in the original Hebrew text connotes empire which means authority to rule, the right to be the Sovereign of all the earth. The government was on his shoulders means it is his responsibility to rule in Judgment and Justice. All the names ascribed to him signify his mission in the world which is to save the world from their slavery to sin                 Jesus have Sovereignty on all that happen on earth, nothing happen without his knowledge as a result of this he is not limited by evil and he is able to give peace without end to anyone that seek him, abide in him and with the kingdom

Faith in Christ - Access gate to Peace

Daily insight with God Tuesday 26th May, 2020 Text: Romans 5: 1-5 Topic: Faith in Christ - Access gate to Peace Key verse: Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Rom 5:1               The peace of God is one of the blessings of being made right with God and also a result or evidence that we are declared free from guilt and accepted by God.         Paul in the text made it clear that we are made right with God by faith in Christ. We are complete in Christ and our lives are secured but we have to endure, hope, persevere and depend on the Holy Spirit who dwell in our hearts.               What make a Christian life is the ever assurance of the presence of God and believing that God is ever with you regardless of pressures, temptation and challenges. Peace and every other blessing in the kingdom can only be accessed by faith and perseverance walk with God as we learn to depend on the the power made available to us from Chr

Jesus - The sacrifice for our Peace

Daily insight with God Monday 25th May, 2020 Text: Isaiah 53: 1-12 Key verse: the chastisement of our peace was upon him. Isaiah 53:5b Topic: Jesus - The sacrifice for our peace             There is no peace in the world, its a world full of darkness, pain, sorrow, trouble, sickness, uncertainties and difficulties. The world is a terrible place because Lucifer is the prince of this world. Jesus came to the world to give peace to anyone that will look on to him as a deliverer, who will confess, forsake his sins and trust in his works of righteousness to be right with him.           Jesus did not become a saviour overnight, the text described how he lived a difficult life, he was despised, he was a man of sorrows, nothing good in his appearance to attract people to him, his life was cut short at the midstream and nobody cared that he died without descendants. He yielded to the redemptive plan of God for humanity he removed the sins which separated us from God by the blood shed on the cro

Guard your joy

Daily insight with God Sunday 24th May, 2020 Text: Psalm 51  Topic: Guard your joy Key verse: Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Psalm 51:12a            The enemy is not happy with your joy and one of his mission is to steal your joy. Your joy is attached to your salvation. One of the ways to guard your joy is to guard your life against any sin that may put a wedge between you and your God.             David slipped into sin, the consequences was more than he could bear, for a whole year it was as if heaven was shut on him. His joy had been taken away. He lost the joy because he had been separated from the source of his joy by committing sin. Thank God he was able to retrace his steps back and he prayed: "restore to me the joy of your salvation" .               Your joy is in the LORD and you need to guard against any sin that may want to draw you away from God's presence. It is your responsibility not to yield to the desire to sin but rather to the Spirit of God wi

Joy - lifestyle of the kingdom

Daily insight with God Saturday 23rd May, 2020 Text: Romans 14:17 Topic: Joy- Lifestyle of the kingdom          Joy is one of the attributes that distinct a believer in this world. Joy is evident in the life of a believer and it cannot be hidden.           Paul told the church in Rome that the kingdom of God is not all about eating but what God does with one's life as he sets it right, put it together and completes it with joy as  one wholeheartedly serve him.           Joy can only manifest in a life that is consecrated to God. The only way to access this joy is to surrender your life to Christ and yielding to the Holy Spirit in your daily walk with him. Prayer: Father Let the spirit of joy fill me and my family in Jesus name.

Joy dwells in God's presence

Daily insight with God Friday 22nd May, 2020 Text: Psalm 16:1-11 Topic: Joy dwells in God's presence Key verse: In thy presence is fulness of joy. Psalm 16:11b KJV         The joy of God is in fullness but not all people experience it on earth.Joy seem to elude many because they believe that joy can be found in pursuit of material things. Instead of seeking the creator of the materials, they seek the materials and the end result is frustration and depression.              The psalmist in his experience and walk with God had discovered that in fellowshipping and devotion with God there is joy to the fullest. The psalmist was able to know this truth because he chose to walk in the path of righteousness despite his travails, triumphs and trials.              Joy of God dwell with those that have chosen to walk in the path of righteousness, Walking with God does not guarantee a trouble free life but in the midst of troubles of life you will have joy and peace of mind because God's

Songs of joy (2)

Daily insight with God Thursday 21st May, 2020 Text: Psalm 126 :1-6 Topic: songs of joy (2) Key verse:  Those who sow in tears will reap with reap with songs of joy. Psalm:126:5              Songs of joy are usually response to answered prayers or tarried requests especially a kind of request that hope had been lost on and suddenly happened miraculously.             It was like a dream when the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, It was too good to be true, they were filled with laughter and they sang for joy. The psalmist believed that if God could do that definitely all their hard labours on the farm will yield great harvest despite the unfavorable environmental conditions. He had faith that their situation shall turn to songs of joy.           Whatever has a beginning definitely has an ending. For it to end with songs of joy we need to sow seeds of diligence in our chosen career and have total trust in God. God is faithful, no one sows patiently with tears of diligence, prayers

Songs of joy (1)

Daily insight with God Wednesday 20th May, 2020 Text: Luke 2: 8-20 Topic: songs of joy Golden Text: suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel praising God and saying, Luke 2:13             The story of the birth of Jesus reverberates with music that has inspired composers for more than 2000 years. The angel's song which is usually called the Gloria after its first word in Latin translation, is the foundation for many modern choral works, traditional Christmas carols and ancient liturgical chants.           The birth of Jesus was associated with joy.Choir came from heaven to sing on the earth to affirm that peace has come to the world. The sheep herders also came, saw it as it was announced to them and they burst into songs of joy            Jesus Christ is the origin  of joy and dwell in the hearts of all believers. Songs of joy are not meant to be an occasional experience but a daily experience if we are connected with Christ in fellowship and devotion o

Unspeakable joy

Daily insight with God Tuesday 19th May, 2020 Text: 1 Peter 1:2 - 8 Topic: Unspeakable Joy  Golden Text:  ... Ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory 1pet2:8               The joy of God is beyond expression and feelings. It is an inward strength derived from love, faith and devotion to the personality of God.           Peter commended the faith of the church who had passed through various trials but yet still demonstrated confidence, courage, unspeakable joy and perseverance without wavering. The church did not allow persecution and trials to suppress them but it rather enlarged them which resulted into multiple joys instead of sorrows and decrease which the enemy intended.            The devil is a master at robbing people of their joy by diverting their attention from God to their problems and challenges around them. Our duty as believers is to be deeply rooted in our love, devotion, commitment to God and have faith in God regardless of what may happen to us. Faith and bel

Salvation produces Joy

Daily insight with God Monday 18th May, 2020 Text: John 4: 27- 38 Topic: Salvation produces Joy. Golden Text: What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike. John 4: 36b NLT           God is the source of joy. This joy is the satisfaction, pleasure and contentment regardless of the surrounding situations. The only way to access this kind of joy is connecting to the source which is God.            Jesus emphatically said in the text that true joy is birth in the message of salvation. He had demonstrated it, He was tired as a result of of long walk and probably hungry. He preached the word, many Samaritans were saved, he was  filled with joy and excitement. His disciples were amazed and he had to explain the source of his joy to them which is in doing the will of God. The Samaritan woman was excited and joyous. she went around telling people about Christ regardless of her reputation.              This joy is still available and it can only be accessed through salvation which Je

Grow in grace

Daily insight with God  Sunday 17th May, 2020 Text: 2 Peter 3:14-18  Topic: Grow in grace Golden Text: But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever! Amen 2 Pet 3: 18        The grace of God is abundant, it is available to all but it is our responsibility to grow in grace so that we can become matured believers grounded in faith and not easily swept away by wind of false teachings and become food for false prophets              Growing in grace call for conscious efforts to complement our basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, self discipline, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love. All these qualities are in Christ and we must not be satisfied until our life manifest these qualities.               To grow in grace we need to thirst to be like Christ as we yield to his words which are spirit, life and truth. Grace is a secured position but one can fall from it if one refuse to grow in gra

Grace for all

Daily insight with God Saturday 16th May, 2020 Text:  Titus 2: 11- 13 Topic: Grace for all Golden Text: for the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men Titus 2: 11             The grace of God is available to all that will draw from it. It is like a spring that can never dry. No one drink from it and remain unsaved.         The grace of God come with blessings, it brings salvation, it has appeared to all men and it teaches us to say No to ungodliness, worldly passions and say Yes to self controlled life, uprightness, godliness, righteousness and to watch out for the second coming of Christ.         Grace is available to all but we have the responsibility to adhere to the teachings of grace so that our minds can be at rest with God. Prayer: Lord Jesus help me to adhere to the teachings of Grace in Jesus name.

Grace - not a license to sin

Daily insight with God Friday 15th May, 2020 Text: Romans 6: 1-6 Topic: Grace - Not a license to sin Golden Text: what shall we say then? Shall we continue to sin, that grace may abound? Rom 6: 1               The abundance of grace does not imply that we should keep on sinning and the blood of Jesus will always be available to cleanse It. Grace does not reach a climax where it tolerate sin and cope with sin.                 Grace is not a license to sin but rather the power and authority to live victoriously over sin. Grace gives us freedom over sin and does not make us slaves to sin. Grace consciously remind us that we are dead to sin with new resurrected life in Christ. Grace            Grace that encourage and glorify in sins is definitely not from God. The grace of God is the power to resist and say no to sinful desires. The grace of God save a sinner and keep strengthening a believer to resist sin as the believer put his trust wholy on Jesus and not in his ability. Prayer: Lord J

Abundant Grace

Daily insight with God Thursday 14th May, 2020 Text: Romans 5: 12-21 Topic: Abundant Grace Golden Text : The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, Rom 5:20                The grace of God is unlimited, no matter how great  sin may be, the grace of God exceed it. The grace of God is ever sufficient in time of need, it does not run dry and it is always available for anyone that come boldly to the throne of grace.                  The disobedience of Adam brought sin, death to humanity and through him sin multiplies likewise the obedience of  Jesus Christ brought righteousness, life and through him righteousness and life multiplies. Where sin abound, grace abound more, God's grace is ever sufficient to help in time of need if you will trust in the righteousness of Christ.              You need to depend on God's grace to live victoriously over sin. Your righteousness cannot save you, have you been trying to break

Freed by Grace

Daily insight with God Wednesday 13th May 2020 Text: Romans 3:21-26 Topic: Freed by Grace Golden Text : "and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus" . Rom 3:24             Grace is unmerited love and favour of God to man expressed in the person of Jesus Christ which is meant to be enjoyed but people are in bondage of guilt of sin by the devil through ignorance of their perfect redemption in Jesus Christ.              Jesus took our place and all our sins either present, past or future was laid on him. He took the punishment and guilt. His blood wiped it off, and every record of sin was removed and it was as if we never sinned. Just like a criminal who deserve to die but Jesus came in and said "instead of condemning the criminal, free him, put all his guilt on me, Let him go, let it not be on record that he committed a crime" .                What God has done for us in Christ is called grace. It is an undeserved kindness .

And Lot found grace

Daily insight with God Tuesday 12th May 2020 Text Genesis 19:19-24 Topic: And Lot found Grace Golden Text: Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in the sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy,Gen 19:19             Grace is a great help usually receive to do that which is right when one could have done otherwise. The nature of God is good and to do good one must have received help from God.                 Lot was living in a perversed society, everyone was corrupted, and just imagine any kind of evil, it was perpetrated in Sodom and Gomorrah. Evil was the order of the day and they were comfortable with it. God was extremely angry with them and marked them for destruction but in the midst of all these there was a man called Lot who found grace in the sight of God. He stopped evil men who wanted to have carnal knowledge of his male visitors. He persuaded him to the extent of offering them his two virgin daughters. What a depraved society!                Grace always stand a man out in

But Noah found grace

Daily insight with God Monday 11th May, 2020 Text : Genesis 6:1-8 Topic: But Noah found grace Golden Text: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD Genesis 6:8             In the midst of moral decadence, depravity, perversion, grace  still speaks. God's grace is always available to keep as many people that will trust in him to overcome evil in this world.                 Noah was not influenced by the evils going on around him. Others were getting it wrong but he was right. He stood out of multitude and deviated from the sinful pattern of his generation. Noah did not allow his environment, and the people that surrounded him to influence him. He could not win them to his side but instead of joining them, He  chose to please his God by staying aloof with him and his family.             What made Noah stand out? The Bible said he found grace in the eyes of the LORD. God's grace kept him from depriving from the presence of God. He loved his God and he pleased him. The grace of

Let your light shine

Daily insight with God Sunday 10th May, 2020 Topic: Let your light shine Text: Matthew 5: 14- 16 Golden Text: You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14            The beauty of light is to illuminate. If it does not illuminate then it is not light. It is in the shining of light lies its glory and beauty which attract people to it.                    Jesus in his teaching on the mountain emphasized the importance of glowing as a Christian. It is in our illumination as light that God is glorified. It is God's desire for us his children not to hide our lights by being silent when we should talk, going along with the multitude, denying Jesus the light of the world, allowing sin to dim our light, not sharing our light with others, ignoring the needs of people that surround us.               Light cannot be hidden wherever the children of light are, darkness are exposed and subdue. The only way our society can experience peace is for us not to shut o

Walk in the light

Daily insight with God Saturday 9th May, 2020 Text: John 8:12 Topic: Walk in the light             It is one thing to have the light and it is another thing to choose to walk in the knowledge of the light that one have. Failure to walk  in the knowledge of light that one have  simply make one to be spiritual blind. This spiritual blindness is as a result of ignoring the word of God which is light that transform  lives positively.                The pharisees rejected Jesus as the light, the light came to them, but they chose not to walk in that light, This led to their spiritual blindness. The light of Jesus was shining everywhere he turned to but only few see the light and walk in it                Walking in light is beyond confession of Jesus as LORD and asking for forgiveness. It is deliberate daily efforts to honour the word of God which is light and the truth in every area of our lives. Walking in light makes the path of a man brighter and no power will be able to subdue him. To

Who is your light?

Daily insight with God Friday 8th May, 2020 Text: Psalm 27:1-3 Topic: Who is your light? Golden Text: The LORD is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? Psalm 27:1a            Moments of trouble are inevitable in as much we are in the world and they usually come announced. These are situations that may make one tremble in fear or feel like the world should come to an end. In period like this where do you turn to?          David in moment of troubles, pain, discomfort, threat to life held on to his God. He declared boldly that "God is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid"?David came out strong from his afflictions because he made God his light.           The only way to salvation in this world is to make Jesus your light. It is only in him you will find strength, courage, boldness and assurance of victory in moments of trouble.Run to Jesus today, let him be your light, the only way you can overco

Jesus, The light of the world

Daily insight with God Thursday 7th May 2020 Text: John 1: 1-5 Topic: Jesus, The light of the world Golden Text: The light shines in darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.              The world has been in darkness since the devil was hurled to the earth. This darkness is manifested in form of sins which are evil.  Devil deceived the first man, he fell from grace into sin and through him sin multiplies and abound in the world. The second man came took the authority that the first man lost to the devil and restored it. By this act, the second man become the light of the world.           The second man is named Jesus Christ and he declared that he is the light of the world. In him there is life, he gives life to all that accept him and make them live eternally. Sin brought death but Christ brought eternal life to all that will leave darkness and choose to walk in the light.             In darkness there is fear, devil hold his children tightly, because they have lived too lo

Let there be lights

Daily insight with God Wednesday 6th May 2020 Topic: Let there be lights Text: Genesis 1 :14 - 19 Golden Text: Gen 1:14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,           God have the whole world in his hands and nothing can get out of his hands no matter how hard or terrible the situation may be in this world, it will definitely bow to his name because his light is everywhere. No matter how thick the darkness may be his light would still shine in his own time to affirm his sovereignty over all.              The manifestation of the lights on the earth was just like redefining the purpose of the light that had already been created on the face of the water. The lights are to manifest as great light to govern the day and lesser light to govern the night and to separate light from darkness as they marked signs for days, seasons and years.            God is always in

And he separated the light from the darkness

Daily insight with God Tuesday 5th May, 2020 Text Genesis 1:4-5 Topic: And God separated the light from the darkness  Golden Text: Gen 1:4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.           God was divinely satisfied after the creation of the light because he saw its beauty, pleasantness, joy, glory, strength and favour. The goodness of light made him to put a clear difference between it and the darkness.                 The division of light from darkness put the light forward and darkness backward. A light always travels in a straight line and the moment light is introduce darkness always shift backward. The division also brought about the distinction of the light and the distinction of the darkness without mixing it up. There is a clear difference between good and evil. It can never be mixed up.                Light will always move forward and darkness can never overcome it. It is an established order. As children of God you are a light carryin

Let there be light

Daily insight with God Monday 4th May, 2020 Text: Genesis 1: 1-3 Topic: Let there be light Golden Text: Gen 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.           Light is a necessity and its absence is usually marked with emptiness, shapelessness and darkness which usually result into sadness, confusion, stumbling, uncertainties and fears. You do not get out of darkness by cursing it or talking about it, You declare light.            The process of life began with the creation of heavens and the earth but the earth was empty, formless, darkness was over the surface of the deep and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. As deep as the darkness was, God's presence was there, the darkness and the emptiness could not limit him. God knew life would be difficult without light, He moved into action, declared light, and there was light.             Darkness cannot limit God, no matter how thick the darkness may be, the light of God will still illum

Honour God with your talents and skills

Daily insight with God Sunday 3rd May, 2020 Text:Exodus 31:1-11 Topic: Honour God with your talents and skills Golden Text: Exo 31:3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts--    All talents and skills are from the LORD and it is given to carry out God's purpose on earth. God has given us the power of choice to determine whether you use the talents for the glorification of God on earth or for selfish interests. Whichever way you choose to use your talents, you will surely give account of it on the final day    Bezaleel and Oholiab were talented and skilful in arts. Nobody knew but when a need arose in the Land, God revealed to Moses that he had people who are skilful and talented in arts and design. Bezaleel and Oholiab were willing to offer their skills and talent to actualize God's purpose on earth without charging Moses any price. They did the work wholeheartedly, God honoured them, their good works were pen

Heed to counsel

Daily insight with God Saturday 2nd May, 2020 Text : Exodus 18:13-24 Topic : Heed to counsel Golden Text :Exo 18:24 Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he said.        In the multitude of counselors there is safety. Moses could have died before he clocked one hundred and twenty years out of burn out and stress if he had not heeded to advice of his father in law. Jethro counseled Moses to share the work of judging  the people among trusted and capable people while he deal with the difficult case so as to save him from burn out and stress.Moses despite his status as the leader of Israel, skillful, educated, the mouth piece of God to the nation and the number one citizen of the Land with great influence still heeded to counsel from ordinary Shepherd who happened to be his father in law without despising his counsel.         Counsel is needed in every area of life. Are you struggling in your career, business or relationship ?
