Blessed are the Meek

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD Saturday 1st August, 2020 Text: Matthew 5:5 Topic: Blessed are the Meek           The Meek are the humble, gentle, patient and have control over their emotions. The Meek are the ones who submit to God, his word, leading and instructions..              The Meek can bear provocation without being inflamed by it rather they are silent or return with a soft answer and  can show displeasure when there is occasion for it. The Meek are easily pacified when angered, they do not get even with others and they are hardly provoked. It is the Meek that will inherit the earth, it is the Meek that will receive all the promises of God on earth.            The Meek are fortunate and happy because they are the proud owners of everything God has promised such as joy, love, hope, blessings, abundance, greatness, satisfaction and every good thing which cannot be bought.  Prayer: Father Let your Spirit of Meekness possess me in Jesus name.

Blessed are those who mourn

Daily insight with God Friday 31st July, 2020 Topic: Blessed are those who mourn Text: Matthew 5:4          There is a time to mourn. It is a moment that nobody can escape on earth. Jesus told his disciples that blessed are they when they mourn.             How can a person in a mourning state be blessed? Weeping may last for a night but joy comes in the morning. Mourning is in a little while and we should not mourn like unbelievers who thought it all ends here on earth but mourn like believers who knows there is eternal home. Some lost souls can also mourn when they realised how much they have wasted their time on pleasure of sin. In our mourning state, God have assured us that he will be there with us "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you" For every sorrow and grief, God is there to comfort us with great and unspeakable joy that will put laughter in our faces.           Heaven's joy is so great to compensate for any earthly sorrows that the children of G

BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT

Daily insight with God Thursday 30th July, 2020 Text: Matthew 5 :3 Topic: Blessed are the poor in spirit.              The poor in the spirit are those are emptied of all spiritual pride. They are conscious of their unworthiness. They do not boast of their grace or gifts. They are awared that their being saved was not by their good works but by grace alone. They do not look down on others that are not saved. They have contrite and humble spirit. The poor in the spirit are more of God and his rule than their selfish cravings and desires. The poor in the spirit are humble, they want Christ to increase by the way they live their lives while they decrease, less of me and more of Christ.             The poor in spirit do not take God's glory as theirs but rather give God all the glory for his miracles and wonders in their lives. The poor in the spirit are conscious at all times that they need God and without God they are doom. Being poor in the spirit guaranteed eternal security. There

The Beatitudes - A Paradox

Daily insight with God Wednesday 29th July 2020  Text :Matthew 5:1-3 Topic: The Beatitudes - A Paradox Key verse: Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3            The Beatitudes are statements which are difficult to believe or which goes against general belief. Jesus began his sermon with words that seem to contradict each other.            God's ways are different from ours. As heaven is higher than the earth so is his thoughts higher than that of ours. The ways of the kingdom contradict the way of the world. The way of life will not make sense or appeal to a carnal man. The way of life is foolishness to those that are perishing.              If you want to live for God, you must be ready to be enemy to worldliness. Friendship with world is enmity with God. If you want to live for God you must be ready to say and do what seems strange to the world. Willing to give when others take, love when others hate, help when others abuse or stay awa

The Beatitudes

Daily insight with God Tuesday 28th July, 2020 Text: Matthew 5: 3 Topic: The Beatitudes            Beatitude means utmost perfect happiness. They are set of blessings Jesus pronounced on his disciples while teaching them on the Mount. Each beatitude tells how to be blessed by God. Blessed means more than happiness. It also suggests the enviable and fortunate state of those who are in the kingdom of God.             The Beatitudes do not promise laughter, pleasure or earthly prosperity. Being blessed by God is the experience of hope and joy which is independent of outward situations and circumstances. Hope and joy is the deepest form of happiness, get to know Jesus on a deep relationship level and follow him at all cost regardless of what it may cost you. Prayer: Father help me to experience your utmost happiness in Jesus name.

THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT

Daily insight with God Monday 27th July, 2020 Text: Matthew 5:1-2 Topic:The sermon on the Mount Key verse: And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: Matthew 5:1a            The longest recorded sermon of Jesus was preached on a mountain to his disciples and not crowd. He walked away from the crowd and taught his disciples the attitude that is expected of a believer. Our happiness lies in doing what God have told us to do. Before blessings there are instructions to be met. He carefully taught his disciples for hours so that they can understand the precept and the principles of the kingdom of God.          Anointing usually draw the crowd a result of miraculous honoured ministry. Anointing can draw one to Christ but it takes the Holy Spirit to convict one to be a believer. The making of disciple involve teaching about what matters in the kingdom, teaching is not enough until one does it. Doing what Christ teaches makes one a disciple. The mountain experience was not easy for

Operating in the gentleness of God

Daily insight with God  Sunday 26th July, 2020  Text: Ephesians 3:14-19 Topic: Operating in the Gentleness of God  Key verse:That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, Eph 3:17          Gentleness does not bow out at persecution or tribulation. Gentleness is confident, bold, heroic and patient. Gentleness is strength of the Holy Spirit, it is the power of God at work in the lives of his Children. And such gentleness can be acquired by total dependence on the Holy Spirit.        Paul  prayed on his knees for the church in Ephesus to operate in the fullness of Christ because in it lies, strength, grace, and power for them  to walk in a corrupt world.         Gentleness is love in action, if Christ dwell richly in you, operating in gentleness of God will be seamless and effortless. Do you want to operate in the gentleness of God? Check your relationship with God and make necessary amendment today.  Prayer: Fullness of Christ possess me so th

Gentleness is not weakness

Daily insight with God  Saturday 25TH July, 2020  Text:Matthew 21:12-17 Topic: Gentleness is not weakness  Key verse: And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, Matt 21:12          Certain people usually consider gentle people to be weak, coward and timid. People at times also see them as someone they can take advantage of but this is not true.         Jesus while on earth was so gentle and humble that his slayers did not even recognize him. Jesus overturned the tables of money changers and with a whip of cords He drove out those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves in the sanctity of the temple. He said " do not make my father's house a house of merchandise.         This act of Jesus was not that of a weak or cowardly man. Being gentle does not make you to be quiet when you need to take actions. Gentleness is the strength of God at work in the

Gentleness of Jesus (2)

Daily insight with God  FRIDAY 24TH July, 2020  Text:Luke 11:14-20 Topic: Gentleness of Jesus Christ  Key verse: But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devil's. Luke 11:15         Gentleness is mostly believed to be quietness and stillness when faced with attack or confrontation but it is calm response to issues. There is a great difference between response and reaction.          Jesus was alleged falsely of healing with a belzelbub spirit. Instead of cursing them or flaring into anger, he responded back to them calmly and softly. Jesus demonstrated gentleness in the midst of fierce and false allegations. In walking with God, our gentleness will manifest for others to see.  Prayer: Father help me to treat people around me with gentleness in Jesus name.

Gentleness is calmness in the midst of opposition (2)

Daily insight with God  Thursday 23RD July, 2020  Text: Numbers 12:1-15 Topic: Gentleness is Calmness in the midst of opposition (2) Key verse (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Num 12:3   Gentleness is patience and humility display in midst of opposition, critics and attacks. response to opposition, it's the ability to exercise control over emotions when your ego is punctured.     Moses was confronted by his own immediate family for not marrying within the tribes of Israel. In all their confrontation, Moses did not utter any word, he was calm, he did not defend himself, he displayed humility and gentleness. This attitude might move God to rise on his behalf and defend the cause of his servant. Can your gentleness move God?    Will you be calm if your personality is insulted? Moses was regarded as the meekest man on earth in his own time because he exhibited confidence and quietness in the midst of several confrontation and a

Gentleness is calmness in the midst of opposition

Daily insight with God  Wednesday 22nd July, 2020  Text: Luke 9:51-56.   Topic: Gentleness is Calmness in the midst of opposition (1) Key verse :And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? Luke 9:54          Gentleness is reveal in our character when we are faced with critics and opposition. The natural response to fiery opposition is to attack back forcefully but a Christian will rather be calm and respond to issues instead of attacking.     After Assyria invaded the northern kingdom of Israel and resettled it with his own people. The mixed race that developed became known as the Samaritans. " pure bred Jews hated these half breeds" and the Samaritans also hated the Jews. So many tensions and disagreement arose between the two peoples that the Jewish travelers between Galilee and Southern Judea would often walk around rather than through Samaritan territory even

THE GENTLENESS OF JESUS CHRIST (1)

Daily insight with God  Tuesday 21stJuly, 2020  Text: Matthew 11:29  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  Topic: The Gentleness of Jesus Christ           The most gentle person that ever lived on this earth was Jesus Christ. He was not a coward, he engaged his critics fearlessly, confronted them yet without a combat or abuse. against them. He responded to issues raised throughout his lifetime without reacting in anger. No words of anger were heard from his mouth, he was compared to a lamb who willingly submitted his life as a sacrifice, despite the suffering he did not look back.  Jesus Christ is a model example of gentleness, he said learn of me "for I am gentle". In all the writings about Christ, the fruit of gentleness manifested in his dealings and relationship with his disciples and other Jews. Jesus had the fullness of the Holy Spirit but while on earth he listened and obeyed the Holy Spirit

GENTLENESS

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD  MONDAY 20TH JULY 2020  Text: GALATIANS 5 :23  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Topic: GENTLENESS            Gentleness is another fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is the disposition to be gentle, kind, indulgent, even balanced in tempers and passions, and patient in suffering injuries without feeling a spirit of revenge.          The Holy Spirit is a gentle spirit, if you permit the Holy Spirit in your life, gentleness will naturally manifest in your life. It is hard for a natural man who have not  encountered God to be gentle. Gentleness is the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who have been saved by Christ and are willing to obey the Holy Spirit in their walk with God. Prayer : Father help me to yield to your Spirit so that your gentleness can manifest through me to others in Jesus name.

TO YOUR KNOWLEDGE ADD TEMPERANCE

Daily insight with God  SUNDAY 19th July, 2020  Text: 2 Peter 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and  to patience godliness  Topic: To your knowledge add temperance    Faith in God is not static, you have to make concious efforts to grow in the knowledge of Christ so that you can be effective and productive. One of the ways to grow is to add temperance to your knowledge.  The addition does not come automatically, it requires moral discipline which requires self control. It is hard work to subject self to control. Self want to shows off, self is proud, self is arrogant and the only way to put self under control is obedience to Holy Spirit. Concious efforts to do what the Holy Spirit says will put self under checks. Prayer : Father help me to be diligent in putting the self under checks and control in Jesus name.

TEMPERANCE IS ABSTINENCE FROM DRINKING

Daily insight with God  Saturday 18th July, 2020  Text: Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. Topic: Temperance is abstinence from Drinking     Temperance is to abstain from strong drinks,Temperance is not drinking moderately but to say no to it. Drinking moderately is a bait to drink excessively. Drinking makes one intoxicated and in a little while it is like no worries and one act under the influence of it. As soon as the wine clears off, the problem and worries that seem to be gone become a reality.   WIne is a mocker, and under its influence one can do nasty things. Wine rages as being addicted to it makes one liable to health problems that can cut a life short and one can spend fortunes on drinking. Be wise, be filled with the Holy Spirit rather than being filled with wine.  Prayer: Father help me to abstain from drinking in Jesus name.

TEMPERANCE IS CONTROL OVER ANGER

Daily insight with God Friday 17th July, 2020 Text: Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. Topic: Temperance is Control over anger            Temperance is Control over emotions and one of those emotions is anger. To be angry is not sin but to continue in it is sin. The anger of a man does not work righteousness. It takes temperance to exercise control over anger. In anger hurtful words are said, there can be violent expression such as combat.           The word slow in the original Hebrew language means patience and long suffering. In our anger we should exercise patience so that we do not sin. Exercising patience in anger is like a mighty man and ability to master one emotions is like one who rule a city. Heeding to the Holy Spirit is the only way to exercise control over our emotions.  Prayer: Father help me to exercise control over anger in Jesus name.

TEMPERANCE IS CONTROL OVER YOUR TONGUE

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 16TH JULY 2020 TEXT: JAMES 3: 1-12 Topic: TEMPERANCE IS CONTROL OVER YOUR TONGUE  KEY VERSE: For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole BODY. James 3:2           Temperance is Control over your tongue. Temperance is knowing what to say and not what to say. Temperance is saying the right words at the right time. Inability to master our tongue lead to gossiping, putting others down, complaining, exaggerating, false teaching, babbling.            Inability to master the tongue can lead to damage, the uncontrolled tongue can do terrible damage just like a flame of fire. Idle and hateful words can separate families, friendships, countries by spreading destruction. A few words spoken in anger can destroy relationships that have taken years to build. Words are like fire once it is spoken, it cannot be reversed again. No human being can tame the tongue, except through the Holy Spi

Temperance is Control over your appetite

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 15TH JULY, 2020 TEXT: Proverbs 23:1-3 1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: 2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. 3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat. TOPIC: TEMPERANCE IS CONTROL OVER YOUR APPETITE  KEY VERSE: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Prov 23:2           Temperance is taking responsibility over your appetite. It is saying no to greediness and desire to eat more than necessary wherever you find yourself.          The Hebrew word used for appetite means flesh, the flesh always want more, the flesh may whisper to you in an occasion where they declare surplus to eat more than enough and pack home since you will not be coming tomorrow.            Yielding to flesh is sin and overeating may cause harm to your health. It is wisdom to yield to Spirit of God by putting knife to the throat. Putting knife to the throat si

TEMPERANCE (2)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD Tuesday 14TH JULY 2020 TEXT: GALATIANS 5:22 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. TOPIC: TEMPERANCE (2)             Temperance is a continuous activity in as much we still have blood flowing through our veins, you do not get to a level and say "I now have a master of my emotions" because each day have his unique challenges hence the need to ofen depend on the Holy Spirit daily.            It takes a man of the spirit to exercise control over self. Nevertheless we have to take responsibilities for our emotions, thoughts, words, actions, passion, cravings or else it will destroy us if we do not exercise control over it. Just like peeing or defeacating, we know if we want to pee, we take responsibility by going to the toilet and get it out or else it will mess us up and bring about shame. Likewise our emotion, cravings, passion must be voluntarily put to check so that an outburst will not put us into trouble. The Holy Spirit will only remind

TEMPERANCE (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 13TH JULY 2020 TEXT: GALATIANS 5:22 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. TOPIC: TEMPERANCE (1)             Temperance from the root Greek word means ability to put self under control. It also means moderation, self restraint especially in sexual activities and abstinence to strong drinks              Temperance is the voluntary control of our emotions, thoughts, words, desires, passion. It is difficult to exercise control on self if you are not spirit controlled. To be spirit controlled is to allow Jesus to Lord over your life and believing in him at all times as you cling to him and bid sins good bye.            The moment you are saved, the Holy Spirit possess you and he will put you in checks if you will obey him. The spirit of God is his word. The Holy Spirit will not contradict the written Word. The Holy Spirit will guide you and make known to you what is right and when you do his biddings, self is under control. Depend on Holy Spirit to

WALKING IN GOD'S FAITHFULNESS

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 12TH JULY, 2020 TEXT:  PSALM 89: 20-37 19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.   20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:   21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.   22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.   23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.   24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.   25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.   26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.   27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.   28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.   29 His seed also will I make to endur

The faithfulness of the Hebrew midwives

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 11TH JULY, 2020 TEXT: EXODUS 1: 15-21 15 The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah,   16 "When you help the Hebrew women in childbirth and observe them on the delivery stool, if it is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live."   17 The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.   18 Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, "Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?"   19 The midwives answered Pharaoh, "Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive."   20 So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous.   21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own. KEY VERSE: And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own. EX 1:21 TOPIC: THE

The faithfulness of the three Hebrews (Hannaniah, Mishael, Azariah) )

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD Friday 10th July, 2020 Text:  Daniel 3: 16-30 16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.   17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king.   18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."   19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual   20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.   21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace.   22 The king's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot t

The faithfulness of Esther

Daily insight with God Thursday 9th July, 2020 Text:  Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish." Esther 4:16 Topic: The faithfulness of Esther Faithfulness involves being courageous and willingness to risk our security, reputation, position, influence, wealth in the course of serving God when situation call for it. The life of Esther portrayed her as a woman who was faithful to God and willing to sacrifice her life for the benefit of her people. It takes an extra ordinary woman with an extraordinary faith to do this.  Esther was conscious that God was responsible for her greatness, she knew without God she could have remained a slave and when the time came for the Jews to be exterminated, she was sensitive to know probably that was the reason why she was in the politica

The faithfulness of Moses

Daily insight with God Wednesday 8th July, 2020 Text: Numbers 12:7 But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house. Topic: The faithfulness of Moses            Faith is leaving certainty for uncertainty because you are sure God have something better for you. Moses was highly trained in the palace, he was educated and schooled in the philosophies, literature and arts of the Egypt. He was a learned professor of his time and he was in line to be the Pharoah but he rejected the pleasures, wealth, dignity, honour, prestige, fame, power, affluence, influence attached to the office of Pharoah and chose to identify with his own enslaved nation.             He left a secured future for something he was not certain of, for forty years he was on an exile after committing a murder, a learned man became a Shepherd in a far away Midian. Moses did all this because he saw a bigger picture, he knew his God, and God honoured his faithfulness and made him one of the greatest man t

The faithfulness of Job

Daily insight with God Tuesday 7th July, 2020 Text:  Job 19:25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. Topic:  The faithfulness of Job The faithfulness and loyalty to God is best tested in moment of crises , our attitude in moment of hard times reveal if truly we are children of God. So many people are reputed to be good and men of integrity because they have never had the opportunities to be bad. All seems to be perfect with them, a integrity not proven is not yet an integrity. Job was reputed to be a man of integtity , God trusted him and he did not disappoint God when challenge came. Job lost all in a day, his wife told him to deny his faith, his friends misinterpreted his woes as a result of his sins and instead of comforting him , they became miserable comforters, his  relatives and all those that have benifited from his wealth deserted him and despised him. Even though he could not understand what had befallen him, he had faith in God that

Do good and goodness shall follow you

Daily insight with God Sunday 5th July, 2020 Text: Psalm 23:6 Topic: Do good and goodness shall follow you           Goodness of God is God's extended favour and kindness to his children who are in deep relationship with him. God's children do good, they are accustomed to it because the Holy Spirit indwells in them and as they do good, the goodness of God follow them.             David was confident of God's grace on his life, he knew God's provision, protection and goodness shall surely be his own because he had complete trust in his God that he cannot fail him regardless of the circumstances that may come his way.              Goodness shall follow you too all the days of your life If you allow the Holy Spirit to have full control of your life. Doing good will become a easy thing for you and goodness of God will follow you wherever you go all the days of your life and you shall dwell forever in God's presence. Prayer: Father help me to do good at all times and let

Persevere in doing good

Daily Insight with God Saturday 4th July,2020 Text: Galatians 6:9 Topic: Persevere in doing good             God's goodness is his gentle kindness to all.He does not withhold anything good from his children. God's goodness is his grace at work in the lives of his children. God expect us to continue in doing good without giving up because in perseverance lies reward.            Paul admonished the church in Galatia not to be tired of doing good but to trust God for reward in due time.  It is discouraging to serve God with all diligence and faithfulness and still no tangible result to show for it. It is tiring to help people and still they return the good deed back with evil. The word of God for you today is do not give up, look to God alone and he will surely reward you if you do not faint. Prayer:  Father help not to give up in doing good but to preserve till I get my reward in you in Jesus name

Be full of God's goodness

Daily insight with God Friday July 3rd,2020 Text: Romans 15:14 Topic: Be full of God's goodness               The goodness of God is in his nature and character. As many that were born of God have goodness as their trait. It distinct believers from non believers as it manifest in our relationship with others.                   Paul in his writings to the church of Romans was persuaded that the church was full of God's goodness. Goodness is in character and it cannot be hidden. He had not been to the church physically but he overheard their good works where he was and commended them.               The goodness of God is also in you and it is in fullness. All you have to do is to yield to the Spirit of God in you as you relate with believers and non believers. It is you that will determine how full it is, It is a decision within, the choice to do good or evil is always there but if you walk in the Spirit and obey his leadings in all matters you shall be full of God's goodness

God's goodness attract judgment

Daily insight with God Thursday 2nd July, 2020 Text: Romans 2:1-6 Topic: God's goodness attract judgment Key verse: But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasuresst up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God. Rom 2:5                The goodness of God is patient and lenient with men till their souls are saved.  It hold back judgment but does not remove judgment and punishment.             God does not usually punish immediately but his judgment is certain. No one will escape it because he shall render to men according to their deeds.          Evaluate your self and see if your ways are right with God. Ask God to point out  your sins, bring yourself to his presence and let him tell you where you need to change. He is good and able to heal us from our sins. Prayer: Father help me to evaluate my self and do necessary amendment in Jesus name.
