SET YOUR EYES ON JESUS

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

SUNDAY 23RD MARCH, 2025

TEXT: Matthew 14:25-31

[25]And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

[26]And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

[27]But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

[28]And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

[29]And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

[30]But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

[31]And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

TOPIC: SET YOUR EYES ON JESUS.

        Faith can also be defined as looking on to Jesus in the midst of trials and storms of life. It is unnatural not to look at your problems and give it full attention. Jesus is saying don’t look at your problem, focus on me and I will take care of the problem.

      Peter saw Jesus walking on the sea, storms do not have power over Jesus, he walked on it, Peter was marvelled at this and said “ bid me to come” . In as much Peter was looking at Jesus, he was walking on the sea but the moment he looked at the wind, fear set in and he began to sink.

        Looking at your problem will make you to be afraid and sink in it. Crises can make you forget easily that Christ is by your side who can make you to walk on your problems. Make up your mind to always focus on Christ alone regardless of what you may see in your walk with him.

Prayer: Father help me to focus on you at all times in Jesus name.

Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.

TOPIC: THE LORD IS IN HIS SANCTUARY (3)            The presence of God makes a difference between a church and any other place. In God’s presence there is peace, deliverance, and fullness of Joy. In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. No one can come to God’s presence and return empty handed.          Many a times when people come to church without experiencing a touch, it is because they do not come with expectations of receiving from God.
