Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE GOOD SHEPHERD (6)

The welfare and well being of the sheep lies in the hands of the good shepherd. The shepherd ensures their safety, provision and well being. The sheep knows what the shepherd is capable of. They recognise his voice and he calls them by name. There is complete trust in the abilities of the Shepherd. No sheep will have access to this benefits and want to stray away from the presence of the good shepherd.

Confidently the psalmist declare that goodness and mercy shall follow him all the days of his life and dwell in the house of the Lord forever. This connotes that our God is a good shepherd who is more concerned about our well being than we do . In as much you dwell in his presence, With confidence you can declare that goodness and mercy is following you knowing fully well that God is concerned about you.

Prayer: goodness and mercies of God will not be kept away from those who abide in God’s presence.

Prayer: Father help me not to go astray from your presence so that I can enjoy your mercies and goodness all the days of my life in Jesus name
