I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.

TOPIC: HAVE YOU MADE COVENANT WITH YOUR EYES?

       The eye is one of the five sense Organs. Without eyes, the world is physically blind and it is a very crucial organ in the body that we cannot do without while on this earth. As good as the eyes are, it can also be a gateway to lust and immoral lifestyle if you are not disciplined. Everything the eye see, the mind will process it and there will be a great desire to have it. Not every thing you see with your eyes is beneficial to your body.

       In the text if today, Job said that he have made covenant with his eyes and why should he look lustfully upon a woman. This was a man that the world was at his feet, he had wealth, could have as many young women as possible as wives and concubines. Regardless of his influence, affluence he made a covenant with his eyes. Just like Jesus said if your eyes will stop you from making heaven, cut it off. To make covenant with your eyes simply means be disciplined with your eyes. Live a disciplined life, it is not all you see that your mind must processed. Learn to look away and stay focus on what matters to God alone.

Action point: Make covenant with your eyes so as not to put you into trouble.

Prayer: Father help me to make covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully in Jesus name.
