TOPIC: WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

KEY VERSE: Jdg 1:7 

Then Adoni-Bezek said, "Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them." They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

Life is based on principles and one of the principles is the principle of sowing and reaping. Whatever you sow is what you will reap. If you sow good, you will reap good and if you sow evil you will reap evil. It is just a matter of time, you will definitely reap what you sow.

Judah attacked cannanites, Adoni-bezek fought against them but could not prevail. He fled , he was caught, they cut his big toes and thumbs. It was the Adoni-bezek recalled how he had subdued seventy kings, cut their big toes, thumbs and made them pick crumbs under his table. He knew his pay time back had come. They took him alive to Jerusalem and died there.

 For every good or evil you do, there is always a pay back time. It is just a matter of time, what goes around will come around.The good men do right here will be paid back and likewise the evil men do. Before you embark on doing something wrong, remember there is a God watching who will pay you back in your own coin.

Prayer: Father help me to do good all the days of my life in Jesus name.

We are all faced with the decision of either to honour God or men in our place of work and neighborhood. A Christian brother resigned from his lucrative job because he could not Compromise by taking bribes at his place of work and after a while God compensated him with a better job . The midwives in our text today also had a similar experience, Pharoah told them to kill the male child but they feared God by preserving the male child and God in return blessed them greatly. Our society would have changed for the best today if only the Christians like the midwives will fear God in places they find themselves. Fear of God brings blessings and fruitfulness, let us begin to fear God in all our endeavours, in doing so we will become light to the dark world. God was assuring David guidance, protection, and counsel. We do not know the way to fulfillment of our destiny, the road map is in God’s hands and except we seek him, find him, have him as our father,this divine assurance can never be ours. God have a path which he expected us to follow, no matter how wise you may be, you cannot know the way except you surrender all to him.
