TEXT: JOHN 4: 39-43
TOPIC: STEWARDSHIP OF INFLUENCE
KEY VERSE:JOHN 4:39
And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
Stewardship of influence is the ability to use your position to draw people within you to your convictions.
The Samaritan woman heard the gospel, she believed and she went around telling people about her new found faith. Listening to her probably shows that they have had contact with her before that time. Though she was reputed to have five husband previously and presently cohabiting with the present husband. She still have a kind of influence that made people to listen to her. Jesus did not go to just any person in Samaria but this particular woman, he broke cultural Boundaries and took his time to explain the gospel to this woman. He knew beforehand that this woman had influence on the people and winning her will bring hundred of souls to the kingdom.
There is no man that does not have influence but the degree of influence varies. How are you using your influence? The influence you have over others is for you to win them to christ by witnessing to them and also living what you witness. God will hold us accountable for people that are within our circumspect of influence and we refuse to win them over to him.
Prayer: Lord help me to maximize my influence by telling people around me about Christ in Jesus name.
