PEER INFLUENCE (7)

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

SUNDAY 18TH OCTOBER, 2020

TEXT: DANIEL: 1 :11-20

TOPIC: PEER INFLUENCE(7)

KEY VERSE: DANIEL 1:20

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

Peer influence exert a pressure on you to do what naturally you may not be able to do. It is an external drive that propel you to act out what you may not have done if you are on your own.

Daniel had influence on his friends and they both purported in their minds not to defile themselves with the King's meal and the outcome was that they were ten times better than their colleagues. When Daniel was sent on an official assignment and the king commanded that  all must bow to his statue. The three Hebrew friends did not compromise, they had faith and their actions made God to be known in Babylon. They were promoted to the realm of affairs in the land and they had great influence on the land.

You will attain great heights in life if you surround yourself with right set of people who have positive influence on you. No man can fulfill his destiny all alone without destiny helpers. Daniel and his three friends had positive influence on each other. Their association made them to be reputed as great men that lived in their time. They did not allow the civilization of their world influence them for evil but rather they changed their world for good by their actions and godly character.

Prayer: Father surround me with right set of people that will help me to fulfill purpose in life in Jesus name.
