Topic: God is not your classmate
Text: Job 40:1-7
Golden text: then Job answered the Lord, I am unworthy how can I reply to you? Job 40:4
At times certain things happen that make us question God,  events such as loss of a son or daughter, death of husband and wife, disasters and many more. Such events are inevitable in life but how do you handle it.
It is not a time to ask God questions because God will not answer your questions. God is not your classmate that you can ask questions. Job thought he knew God to the level of summoning and asking him questions but when God decided to respond to his predicament, he did not answer his questions but rather asked him questions. Job could not answer his questions and he eventually worshipped his God.
John the Baptist died about 30 years, when people died at such age, we do say it is an untimely death but are you God to determine whether it is untimely or not. God's timing is different from our own timing and his thoughts is likewise different from our own thoughts. What is untimely death in your own reasoning may be timely to God. What seems to be bad in your sight may be good in God's sight. So stop asking God questions when faced with pains but rather worship him because he still remains God.
Prayer: Lord help me to worship you in whatever the situation I find myself in Jesus name
