Topic: A lesson from David's mourning.
Text: 2 Samuel 12: 14-23
Golden Text: can I bring him back again? I shall go to him but he shall not return to me 2 Samuel 12:23
The Bible teaches that we should not mourn as unbelievers but we should mourn as someone who has hope in God's eternity.
David did all he could do to save his child but yet he died. His servants were afraid to deliver the bad news thinking that he would be embittered but to their surprise he summoned courage and ate. When you lost a loved one to death , mourn with eternity in view that the deceased can't longer come back to earth but rather you going back to him. People cry at times as if their tears will bring back the dead, learn from David and mourn hopefully
Prayer: Father help me to mourn hopefully when faced with the death of a loved one in Jesus name.
