The considerate God

Daily insight with God Friday 1st May, 2020 Text: Leviticus 12: 1-8 Topic: The considerate God Golden Text: Lev 12:8 If she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.'" God is considerate of your situation , he will not ask you for what you do not have, he knows what you can afford to give and he will not coerce you to give beyond your capacity. God's law communicated through Moses made a provision for two pigeons for those who could not afford ram and turtle dove for purification offering. Had it been there was no provision for two pigeons instead of a Ram and a turtle dove Jesus could have been denied of purification because of the social status of his parents. God will not demand for what you do not have. He sees your heart and he knows what you can afford to give willingly. Others may not consider your s...

Strange fire!

Daily insight with God Thursday 30th April, 2020 Text: Leviticus 10:1-7 Topic: Strange fire Golden Text: Lev 10:1 Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to his command.       A man lost his two oldest sons in a day. What a shock! The sons were priests in training and potential high priests who died at the point of serving God. It was a bad day for the man and he could not even mourn because it was forbidden for him.             The man was Aaron and the two sons were : Nadab and Abihu who died by offering a strange fire on God's altar. What made the fire strange? It was not authorized by God and their disobedience were punished by devouring fire from God which claimed their lives. God had to sanction them because he must be honoured.       God's standards have not changed. Does your life as a servant or a child of G...

Order the morning

Daily insight with God Wednesday 29th April, 2020 Text: Job 38:12-13 Topic: Order the morning Golden Text: Job 38:12 "Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place, God is the creator of the universe, there is a mystery behind all he creates and he did not just create, he have a purpose in mind.            Job had raised questions and calling God to respond why he deserved such a fate when he had not sinned against him. God's response was shocking, instead of answering his questions he confronted him with hard questions to solve which are mysterious one of the questions was, "Have you ever given orders to the morning,... This question is a eye opener into the evils that is being program into the day on the daily basis which we are not aware of. A day God has created to be enjoyed can become a day of sorrow if we do not rise early in the day and command the day to shake out the wickedness of the wicked so that we can have a de...

Where do you put your trust?

Daily insight with God Tuesday 28th April, 2020 Topic: Where do you put your trust? Text: Psalm 20:7         Moment of troubles  usually reveal where we put our trust. Our response during this period will tell whether we really put our trust in man, devil, self or God.       David  had seen people, nations kingdoms trusting in chariots, horses in moment of wars for victory but the end of it was great fall. David was confident that trust in the name of God guaranteed victories.        Those who trust in God cannot be disappointed, others may fail but God has never failed anyone who put his trust in his name. Where do you put your trust? Examine yourself and make amendments. Prayer: Father help me to put my trust only in your name in Jesus name.

Your voice shall be heard in the day of trouble

Daily insight with God Monday 27th April 2020 Text : Psalm 20: 2 Topic: Your voice shall be heard in the day of trouble .   Distress calls are often placed in moment of troubles and sudden emergencies. At times response to this may not come on time due to unforeseen delays on the way. This affirms that it is possible to be in distress, call and help may not come. No wonder the psalmist prayed "may the LORD answer you when you are in distress"             Crying out aloud in moments of trouble may not guarantee the right help. The Hebrew word for hear in the text means to respond by paying attention. This connotes that there must be a familiarization between the caller and the receiver of the call. Relationship with God is the only guarantee to be heard in the day of trouble because you have been together in fellowship and he knows your voice. Do not wait till the day of trouble before you start seeking God, start seeking him now, he desire a...

Staying pure

Daily insight with God Sunday April 26th 2020 Topic: Staying pure Text: Psalm 119:9      The word purity is gradually becoming uncommon in the world today. The world is polluted, contaminated but God's standard has not changed. He desires for us to stay pure if we must walk with him.       The scripture made it obvious that the only way to stay pure is to read, meditate on the word of God and doing what it says. The word of God is spirit and life. It is able to cleanse us from our faults and make us upright with him.      Staying pure is commitment to feed on the word of God daily  to the level where the word dwell richly in you, becomes a light to guide you in this dark world and keep your feet from stumbling into pit. This cannot be achieved on your own but by relying on God for strength and help. Prayer: Father draw me closer to your word day by day in Jesus name.

True blessedness

Daily insight with God Saturday 25th April, 2020 Topic: True blessedness Text: Psalm 119:1-8 Golden Text: Psa 119:2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.       In the world today some derive their happiness in  material things such as wealth, academic achievements, fame but true happiness is found in God alone. All what you think make you happy and feel blessed can be taken away in a moment.       The psalmist emphasized that true happiness is in meditating on the word of God and seeking God with all our heart. Satisfaction and contentment is found in God alone. The soul can only be satisfied by seeking God with integrity and righteousness.   Let us beware of seeking material things at the expense of our soul because it will not profit a man if he gain the whole world and loses his soul.       No matter our achievements on earth if we are not seeking God, our happiness cannot be comple...
