How to hear the voice of God (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY FEBRUARY 1ST 2025 TEXT: 1 Samuel 3:3-5,7-9 [3]And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; [4]That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. [5]And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. [7]Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. [8]And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. [9]Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 31ST JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Genesis 25:8 [8]Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people. TOPIC: The journey of purpose (8)     God do not start a journey with a man and leave him behind without accomplishing his purpose through him. God wants our cooperation.      Abraham walked with God, he knew his plans for his life and he patiently wait till God settled him. Abraham who was childless with the promise of becoming father of nations eventually became a father of seven children. Promises can seems delay in our eyes but God will always fulfill it if only we can patiently trust for it . Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for your promises in Jesus name.

The journey of purpose (7)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 30TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Genesis 22:1-2 [1]And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. [2]And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. TOPIC: THE JOURNEY OF PURPOSE (7)        The journey of purpose is full of tests, temptations, trials that is enough to make one take a detour, stop or swerve away. Sometimes God test us to know if we are qualified for the blessings that lies ahead.      For Abraham God asked for what was dearest to him and he was willing to let it go. Nothing should we prioritise above God in out heart. The test proved Abraham worthy , reliable and someone God can trust. It was at that point God sealed his blessings for Abraham. When it is tough do not give up...

[2]And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. [3]And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, [4]As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. [5]Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. [6]And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 28TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Genesis 16:1-4 [1]Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. [2]And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. [3]And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. [4]And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes. DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 27TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Genesis 15:6 [6]And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. TOPIC: THE JOURNEY OF PURPOSE (4)            The purpose of God is usually hinge on what God wants to do through a man. Sometimes it seems so great that human minds cannot comprehend it and until you believe it, start walking in that reality, it cannot be fulfilled.           Abraham received a promise from God, to make him father of all nations and to give the land of cannan to his seed. At the time of the promise, he was childless and did not have a place to call a home. Abraham believed God in all these and God counted it to him for righteousness . In the journey of purpose, you have to hold on to God’s words and promises for your life. It will guide you while walking in the valley and in the dark. Whatever God have told you in the light, do not doubt it in the dark because it is th...

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 26TH JANUARY,2025 TEXT: Genesis 15:18 [18]In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: TOPIC: JOURNEY OF PURPOSE (3)        The journey of purpose is usually initiated by God and it is on him to ensure that it ends well. As a result of this it is usually accompany with a covenant. Covenant becomes necessary so as to give assurance to the other party that the journey will ends well.        Abraham's relationship with God was marked with covenant. It was a covenant relationship. God keeps assuring him that all his promises to him will be fulfilled. God never walks with a man without a covenant to back the relationship up. God’s covenant is an evidence that what he says will be done. Before a relationship can reaches a covenant level, it requires a lot of commitment and time. Crave for a deep re...

The journey of purpose (2)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 25TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Genesis 12:10 [10]And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. TOPIC: JOURNEY OF PURPOSE (2)        The journey of purpose is not always smooth. It is rough, full of uncertainties, difficulties and pains that is enough to swerve you from the road. What will keep you going is your faith in God.      Abraham knew his God, the first thing he did on reaching his destination was to create an altar to worship his God and right there God affirmed to him that he would give him the land and his seed. At that time Abraham had no children even though his name mean Father. After a while there was a famine in the land God has led him to. This was enough for Abraham to doubt his God but he held on to God’s promises. Walking in purpose does not mean you are free from troubles of life. Troubles will come but remember to l...

THE JOURNEY OF PURPOSE (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 24th JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Genesis 12:1-4 [1]Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2]And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3]And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. [4]So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. WALKING IN PURPOSE (2)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 23RD JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Hebrews 11:5 [5]By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. TOPIC: WALKING IN PURPOSE (2)    Purposeful living is necessary in activating God’s will and plans. To activate and drive God’s plan for your life, you have to be attached to the owner of the plans. Not all purpose are from God, the purpose that is from God cannot be fulfilled outside God’s plans and ways.    Enoch had a testimony that he pleased God. Everything God put in his mind, he achieved and people around him attest to it that he lived a fulfilled life. When a man live a purposeful life, in life he is celebrated and when he is no more, he will still be celebrated because the good we do outlive us. The sole aim of man is to please his creator on earth and in doing that, he will fulfill his purpose on ear...

WALKING IN PURPOSE (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 22nd JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Genesis 5:21-24 [21]And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: [22]And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: [23]And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: [24]And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. TOPIC: WALKING IN PURPOSE (1)           Walking in purpose is rooted in knowing God. No one lives a purposeful life without having a deep relationship and encounter with God. It is in your walk with God that you will know God’s plans and thoughts for you. It is also in your walk with God that you will know how to carry out God’s plan for your life.      Enoch had encounter with God at the age of sixty five years and walked with God for three hundred years. God was so pleased with him that he did not allow him to die physically but took him. Just few sentences were ...

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 21ST JANUARY, 2024 TEXT: Acts 17:26-28 [26]And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; [27]That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: [28]For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. TOPIC: KNOWING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE (4) Purpose makes life beautiful. A purpose driven life is a life that pleases God. A life without purpose is without focus and no sense of direction. God desires to make his purpose known all but not all are willing to find it out. Not all purpose are from God. Some carve out purpose for themselves and they live for it. The purpose that is acceptable to God is the one you discovered in him. God deliberately keep his purpose because he want us to...

[2]But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. [3]To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. [4]And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. [5]And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. TOPIC: KNOWING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE (3)          The purpose of God is the mind of God for you while on earth. It is the reason behind your existence. To get to know the mind of God for your life, you have to have an intimacy with God. Without a deep relationship with God, it is hard for you to discern his will and mind for yo...

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 19TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Luke 4:16- 21 [16]And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. [18]The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19]To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. [20]And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. [17]And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 17TH DECEMBER, 2025 TEXT: Exodus 31:1-6 [1]And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [2]See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: [3]And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, [4]To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, [5]And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. [6]And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; TOPIC: ORDAINED FOR A PURPOSE (2)         God knows the end from the beginning. ORDAINED FOR A PURPOSE (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 16TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Jeremiah 1:5 [5]Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. TOPIC: ORDAINED FOR A PURPOSE (1)         There is no man born of a woman without a purpose. There is something unique about individuals which makes them to be different from others in terms of abilities, potentials, gifts and talents. God do not just deposit resources in people, it is for a reason and it is to worship and serve him wholeheartedly.        Jeremiah questioned God about his competence for the assignment. To his amazement, God told him that he have set him apart as a prophet right from the womb and he was better fit and qualified. Your gifting, potential, abilities will set you apart into your office where you will find fulfillment and joy. When God set a man apart for his purpose, he does no...

A divert from purpose (2)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 15TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: John 21:2-3 [2]There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. [3]Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. TOPIC: A DIVERT FROM PURPOSE (2) A life without purpose is a life without direction. Anyone who finds purpose is always happy because he is fulfilled and does what gives him joy. In the journey of purpose there is purpose, frustration, disappointments, rejections, failures that can make a man walk away from purpose but it does not always end well except they find their way back into their purpose. The disciples of Jesus were discouraged, their Master is gone, they felt disappointed and depressed. Peter told his fellow disciples that he was going back to fishing, others said they will...

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 14TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: 2 Chronicles 26:16-21 [16]But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense. [17]And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men: [18]And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God. [19]Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar. [20]And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked ...

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 13TH JANUARY, 2024 TEXT: 2 Kings 8:4-5 [4]And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done. [5]And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life. TOPIC: A diverted purpose (2)          A purposeful life entails fulfilment of destiny. Purpose can be traded for fame, wealth and riches. Some have allowed greed and covetousness to derail them from purpose. As a result of this they have been diverted from a life of purpose.        Gehaz was a great prophet of God, very sensitive and was in position to receive double portion of Elisha’s anointing. He allowed greed and covetousnes...

A diverted purpose

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 12TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Judges 16:4-5 [4]And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. [5]And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver. TOPIC: Diverted purpose        Distraction is a tool to divert a man’s purpose , it can come in many forms, the sole aim is to divert a man from his purpose and render him useless. Samson was a victim of this. Samson was recorded as the strongest man that ever lived, he was born a Nazirite, he knew his life purpose was to deliver his people from the oppression of philistines. He was purpose driven until he decided to have a life partner. He wanted a wife from the Philistines against the wish of his parents despit...

An annihilated purpose

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 11TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: 1 Kings 13:1 -26 Key verse: 1 kings 13 : 24 And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase. TOPIC: AN ANNIHILATED PURPOSE                The purpose of a man is his life's mission on earth. To identify your purpose and live your purpose on earth is not pleasing to all. Some are bent on destroying people who are living fulfilling lives just because they could not live their purpose, they do not want others to do it. It calls for prayer and wisdom to identify this set of people and stay away from them. One of these men was the old prophet, his children told him God had mightily use a young prophet and “he is presently the talk of the town” . The old prophet became bitter, the thoughts of “ why not me” might fill his heart because he was also a prophet too. He went after the ...

A TRUNCATED PURPOSE

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 10TH JANUARY, 2024 TEXT:Genesis 37:2,18-20 [2]These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. [18]And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. [19]And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. [20]Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams. [18]And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. [19]And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. A WASTED PURPOSE

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 9TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Matthew 27:3-5 [3]Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, [4]Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. [5]And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. TOPIC: A WASTED PURPOSE          A Known purpose can be wasted when you did not value it and you are more concerned about your immediate needs. Judas labored with Jesus for about three and half years, he was one of the foundational Apostles, he saw purpose in Christ, he left all and followed Jesus. At a point in his life, greed and covetousness set in, he was stealing from the ministry purse, he was much more concerned about what he would gain from Jesus’s ministry.         ...

VALUE YOUR PURPOSE

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 8TH JANUARY,2025 TEXT: Genesis 25:32, Hebrews 12:16 [32]And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? [16]Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. TOPIC: VALUE YOUR PURPOSE       The purpose of a man is a reason for his existence and it should be valued in one’s sojourn in life. Many have traded their life purpose for money, comfort and immediate gratification.         Esau was programmed to receive Abrahamic blessings, he had the birth rights with all the privileges attached to it but he did not value his life purpose. He was much more concerned about his present needs and traded his birthright for food. By the time he realised his mistake, it sought it with tears but it was too late. Your purpose is very important and you have to hold on to it regardless of what you may experience on the path to ...

THE QUESTION OF PURPOSE (2)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 7TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Acts 9:6 [6]And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. TOPIC: THE QUESTION OF PURPOSE (2)      God is always willing to answer our questions especially as it centers on his purpose for us on earth. So many are labouring in vain because God do not recognise their labour. God will only bless the work he has destined you to do.     God answered Paul when he raised the question of purpose about his him. He directed him to where his questions will be answered and he actually got the answers. Paul gave himself to the gospel till his last breath. He left all and gave himself into what God has destined for him. Ask questions about your purpose and existence. Many are struggling today because they do not align with God’s purpose for their lives. Seek God out and ask him what he w...

THE QUESTION OF PURPOSE (1)

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD MONDAY 6TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Acts 9:6 [6]And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. TOPIC: THE QUESTION OF PURPOSE (1)        Nothing exists for Nothing on earth. Every creature has a purpose. God do not create humans without purpose. We are created for the primary purpose of worshipping and fellowshipping with God. God wants to be worshipped and praised at all times. In fulfilling our primary purpose, God have assignments for all humans and the assignments differs just as our faces differ.        To live a fulfilled life, one need to find out exactly what God wants him specifically to do. In it lies fulfilment , joy and Glory of God. Paul was a man of purpose, he knew he was on a mission on earth, immediately God arrested him, the first question he asked was the question of purpose....

FOCUS ON THE GOAL

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SUNDAY 5TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Philippians 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,' TOPIC: FOCUS ON THE GOAL        Great things are usually accomplished by those who set their minds on it. Great men do not pursue many things but just one thing. There is one particular thing that you are destined to do, take your time , find it out this year and gear all your strength and energy towards accomplishing it.        Paul had found his life goal, his eye was focused on the goal. He was not bothered about people’s opinion of him, he was not moved by contemporaries who were jealous of his fame. He identified his life goal as making eternal life and doing all possible to bring as many as possible along. Whatever achievements or accomplishments on earth does not matter to him, he counted them as dung, only ...

Your vision will speak

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.

Make the vision plain

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 3RD JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:1-2 [1]I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. [2]And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. TOPIC: MAKE THE VISION PLAIN       Visions are meant to be definite. It must be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound. Writing it down is necessary and not just Writing, make it bold in such a way that it will be difficult for you to be distracted from achieving it. The greatest enemy of vision attainment is not enemy but distraction.             The prophet was mandated to write the vision down and also make it plain upon tables so that even the one that runs will still see it. Imprint your vision boldly on your hearts this year so that in the running of life you will still se...

Write the vision

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD THURSDAY 2ND JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:2 [2]And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. TOPIC: WRITE THE VISION         There is no sane man that do not have plans about what they want to accomplish within a time frame. Having plans is not enough, take your time to set your plans into goals. Goals are either short term or long term.          Prophet Habakkuk had a vision, when God was set to make it a reality, he told him to write it down. Writing is important so as to be a reminder, guide you, see it till it becomes imprinted in your conscious mind. What goals have you envisioned this year? What are your plans to ensure that the goal becomes a reality. It is easier to dream, get a vision but the vision remains a dream if there are no concrete plans to make it a reality. Plans start from writing down the vision and taking concrete s...
