DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD
TUESDAY 28TH JANUARY, 2025
TEXT: Genesis 16:1-4
[1]Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
[2]And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
[3]And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.
[4]And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.
TOPIC: THE JOURNEY OF PURPOSE (5)
The journey of purpose sometimes is marked with failure and disappointment. You are full of hopes , aware of his purpose, know where you are going but at times there can be flat tyre. Disappointment is a flat tyre, failure is a flat tyre and the journey will be delayed until you fix the flat tyre.
Abraham was sure of Gods plans for his life, at a time he was discouraged and heeded to his wife’s advice. The advice was good but that decision slowed his life journey for about thirteen years . No account of his fellowship with God again for thirteen years. Do not walk away from God’s plans or create a new plan for yourself. God will not walk in your plans to achieve his purpose.
Prayer: Father help me not to walk away from your plans for my life in Jesus name.
