TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING THE DIVINITY OF JESUS       The greatest mystery about Jesus and the most contended about scholars is that “Jesus is God” . The whole book of the gospel of John was written as a thesis with seven evidences to prove that Jesus is God who came into this world to rescue people from their sins and give them his life to live. John was addressing believers then who fell into the error that Jesus was not God and till today some believers still fall to that error.         The writer of Matthew stated that the name of Jesus is Emmanuel meaning God is with us. TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF JESUS The coming of Jesus was prophesied before his arrival. The writer of the gospel made reference to Isaiah 7:14 as an evidence or proof to his audience that truly Jesus fulfilled the Scripture. One of the most contested truths about Jesus is his virgin birth and his divinity. These are more debated than his miracles. The virgin birth was a mystery, the more you ponder about it, the less you see. It is a mystery that can not be unravelled. TOPIC: A POWER DRUNK KING         Monarchy in the Roman empire was characterised with authority , power, corruption and influence. Herod was a king of that region answerable to the roman empire. TOPIC: THINK BEFORE YOU ACT         It is natural for humans to act immediately they are confronted with unpleasant situations. Like Newton said Actions and reactions are equal and opposite. For every action there is always a reaction to it. Before you react when you hear unpleasant news about someone or you are faced with a slander. Take a breathe, relax and give it a thought. When all hopes are lost, you can always count on him. In Christ, the promise of salvation was met, in him the hope of eternity was met, in him was fulfilment of laws, in him was the fulfilment of prophecies. TOPIC: CELEBRATE JESUS (2)     Celebration is a moment of joy and merriment. The birth of Jesus was marked with joy, the shepherds were singing , the wise men in far away east were excited. It was indeed a great joy on earth because the seed of man that would bruise the head of the serpent was born. His birth marked a new beginning that gives hope, restoration and deliverance.        The philosophy behind a mass to celebrate Jesus was a great one and it deserved to be applauded. TOPIC: CELEBRATE JESUS (1) Christmas is a day in a 12 month calendar year to mark Jesus’s birthday. It is a time to drink, wine and give gifts to love ones. It is always a beautiful celebration with moments that linger on. The wise men also came from a far to celebrate Jesus and worshipped him with their gifts. Beyond drinking and wining which is a sign of joy, it is also of a time to reflect if we actually know that Jesus, if we know him, can others see Jesus in us? Prayer: Father help me to celebrate you in a right way in Jesus name.

TOPIC: Things don’t just happen      God knows all things, nothing meets him unaware and he is always on top of issues as it relates to occurrences in this world. For Mary and Joseph, they were in a difficult situation, unknown to them beforehand that eight hundred years before then, God had them in mind and had made a way of escape.        Obedience and patience work hand in hand. TOPIC: LITTLE BUT NOT LITTLE God’s plan usually defies human understanding. As heavens are higher than the earth so is the thoughts of God higher than our thoughts. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. TOPIC: PEACE WITHOUT END             The birth of Jesus is the beginning of a new dawn that separates light from darkness . His coming put an end to the works of darkness. He came to establish righteousness, justice and peace. They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? [41]He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. TOPIC: WHAT SEEK YE ? Seeking is necessary if you are looking for something. If you do not seek, you cannot find. There is no one born on earth that is not seeking for at least one thing?  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD FRIDAY 20TH DECEMBER, 2024 TEXT: John 1:36 [36]And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! TOPIC: THE LAMB OF GOD          The lamb is a young sheep. It is timid, meek, easily led and not wild. It is usually used as a form of sacrifice in Judaism which is the religion of the Jews. Jesus was referred to as a lamb by John because he was the sacrifice offered by God to take away the sins of humanity.         His name Jesus means to save people from their sins. The only way to save is to become a sacrifice by offering his blood as redemption for their sins. The lamb of God has been offered, no other sacrifice to be made again for our redemption, purification and sanctification. This is a moment to reflect on your life, and ask yourself have you truly accepted the lamb of God into your life and are you living the life of Christ? Make amendment today. Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. TOPIC: JESUS SEES YOU.             Jesus Christ is all knowing. He knows everything about you and nothing is hidden to him. Nothing happens or moves without his knowledge. He is aware of everything about you, and nothing stops him from settling you if he chooses to.       Philip was having discussion with Nathanael, before Philip got there, Christ had seen him, he knew his fears and doubts. When Jesus told him that he saw him. His response was worship. You just have to act in faith that he is aware of all you are passing through by simply worshipping him for who he is and his hands will turn your situation around beyond your imagination.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD WEDNESDAY 18TH DECEMBER, 2024 TEXT: John 1:45-46 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”’ “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip.' TOPIC: Nazareth! “ Can anything good come from there”           The background of a man can place a limitation on his destiny. Some have been denied certain heights and privileges as a result of the place they hailed from.  DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD TUESDAY 17TH DECEMBER, 2024 TEXT: Isaiah 7:14 [14]Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. TOPIC: A hard sign              Signs are assurance that God will do what he says he will do especially when someone finds himself in a difficult situation and needs God’s assurance that there will be a way. Sometimes asking for a sign can be an indication that someone does not believe what God have said he will do, and just need a sign that will strengthen his faith.            In the text, the king was in a terrible situation, two kings aligned together against him and he was sorely afraid. TOPIC: REPENT          The prophet message was definite, he knew what God have sent him to do, he understood his message, audience and had a deep relationship with God. He was born for that purpose and was prepared for it. He simplified the message to his people and they understood him as he taught them the ways of the LORD.      Gods message have not changed to this present generation. TOPIC: AN UNCOMMON STAR          The wise men from the East sought after a star they had seen because it was very unusual. They are of the belief that for every child born, there is a star, and each star in the sky stand for someone and when someone dies, the star falls off. The peculiarities of Jesus star made them left everything to search for it till it was found. The star was described as star for kings, they came with gifts to worship him. Even before the birth of Jesus so many people had answered them, notable was Joshua who led Israel to the promise land. TOPIC: THE LINEAGE OF GRACE          The family tree is a lineage showing the fathers, mothers, and children. It is the source of everyone born on earth. Everyone born on earth belongs to a lineage. The lineage of Christ was a unique one because God chose Judah out of all the family tribes of Israel. TOPIC: LET YOUR TESTIMONIES SPEAK (2)     Testimonies cannot be hidden. They can be liken to a fire , no matter how you cover it, smoke will come out of it. Testimonies have mouth and they will speak when the time is ripe. TOPIC: LET YOUR TESTIMONIES SPEAK (1)              Testimonies are declaration of God’s goodness and mercies to his congregation so as to boost their faith and encourage them that God is mighty in deeds, miracles and wonders. Some Testimonies has been aborted without seeing the light of the day because the people concerned declare immature testimonies.              Elizabeth hid herself for five months after receiving her Testimonies. TOPIC: FAVOUR OF GOD           The favour of God is at God’s volition. He single out people for favour which is beyond people comprehension. The favour of God makes hard work productive and rewarding. Nothing good happens without the favour of God. Blessings are product of God’s favour.           The angel pronounced Mary as a blessed woman because she has found favour with God. She was not the only virgin on earth then but favour located her. She was singled out for blessings and no where will the story of Christ be told without mentioning Mary. Nothing was recorded in the Scripture to ascertain the reason why she was favoured. Topic: The cost of unbelief.            Great miracles are difficult to believe. It defies logic and explanation. God had to send an angel to convey news to Zechariah that he would birth a son. And not just a son but a great prophet. The angel had to reveal who he was which was very rare. Despite all the angel said, the priest didn’t believe. The angel had to pronounce him deaf and dumb as a sign that the message he brought will become a reality. Many a times we tend to live with the situation that we cannot change and it becomes a predicament. Such story was that of Zechariah who had lived to an advanced age but no child, the Scripture said his wife was barren yet the man stuck to his wife and his God.
