TEXT: John 21:2-3
[2]There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
[3]Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
TOPIC: A DIVERT FROM PURPOSE (2)
A life without purpose is a life without direction. Anyone who finds purpose is always happy because he is fulfilled and does what gives him joy. In the journey of purpose there is purpose, frustration, disappointments, rejections, failures that can make a man walk away from purpose but it does not always end well except they find their way back into their purpose.
The disciples of Jesus were discouraged, their Master is gone, they felt disappointed and depressed. Peter told his fellow disciples that he was going back to fishing, others said they will follow him. They all went back to fishing but they caught nothing. A walk away from purpose always ends in nothing . No matter what you may see on the road of purpose, do not take a divert, stay through to the end. The disciples found favour, Jesus located them and restored them back to their purpose. Have you wander away from purpose? Reflect and pray to God for restoration.
Prayer: Father in your mercies restore me in any way I have wandered away from purpose in Jesus name.
