WALKING IN GOD'S FAITHFULNESS

DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD
SUNDAY 12TH JULY, 2020
TEXT:  PSALM 89: 20-37
19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
 20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
 21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
 22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
 26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
  27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
 29 His seed also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
 31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
 33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
 34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
 35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven.
TOPIC:  WALKING IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
KEY VERSE: nevertheless my lovingkindness will i not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. psalm 89:33
Having considered Faithfulness in some selected biblical characters, what they did were extraordinarily and beyond human reasoning and imagination.  This is because they are totally submissive to the spirit of God.  To walk in God’s faithfulness is to walk in power, it is to walk in favour, it is to walk in spirit, it is to live a consecrated live, and it is to live in God’s favour. The writer of the psalm reflected on Gods faithfulness in the life of David and his conclusion was God is faithful. David missed it just as we missed it sometimes, David failed God in many occasions, David had weaknesses just as we have but God walked through him and fulfill his promises in his life. Despite his unfaithfulness God was faithful to keep his promises and sealed his covenant with him. God’s mercies were not taken away from him up till this moment.
 We are the seed of David, we have failed God, so many times we have fallen and we keep rising and Gods love for us is ever constant. Our unfaithfulness or inconsistencies does not limit his love and mercies for us.  Walking with God require a change of heart by allowing the Holy spirit of God  to dwell in us when we acknowledge  Jesus as  Lord and believing in him at all times, fix  your  hearts on GOD, be committed to him by obeying his words and consistent walk with him without turning back as a result of hardship, crises, temptation or sin that may befall us .God is committed to keep the faithful ,he always have their best interest in his heart, he care, and he preserve those that are loyal and committed to him
Prayer: Father I have realized that you are ever faithful to me help me to be loyal to you as I resolve to walk with you all the days of my life in Jesus name.
