JOSEPH OF ARIMATHAEA

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

SATURDAY 19TH APRIL, 2025

TEXT: Mark 15:43-47

[43]Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

[44]And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

[45]And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

[46]And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

[47]And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

TOPIC: JOSEPH OF ARIMATHAEA

       There are so many unsung heroes in history whose impacts , achievements outlived them and have put their names on indelible prints for generations to come. One of them was Joseph of Arimathaea who was a disciple of Jesus. At a time when all other disciples had gone into hidden places out of fear and panic. There arose a man who was reputed to be a honourable counsellor confronted Pilate boldly requested for the body of christ with the intention of giving him a befitting burial.

       He did this and it became a memorable event. Today the carved tomb for Christ is still there but was empty as an evidence to show that Jesus actually died but risen from the death. Have God put anything in your mind to do for him, get at work, do not be afraid because whatever you do him shall not be forgotten and it shall speak you and your generations.

Prayer: Father give me the courage to accomplish great things for you in Jesus name.

TOPIC: THE LORD IS IN HIS SANCTUARY (3)            The presence of God makes a difference between a church and any other place. In God’s presence there is peace, deliverance, and fullness of Joy. In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. No one can come to God’s presence and return empty handed.          Many a times when people come to church without experiencing a touch, it is because they do not come with expectations of receiving from God. Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.
