DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD
THURSDAY 24TH APRIL, 2025
TEXT: Song of Solomon 2:15
[15]Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
TOPIC: GUARD AGAINST FOXES
Marriage is originally designed to be enjoyed and be a blessing to an adult male and adult female. One of the duties of the husband is to protect the wife and children against foxes that spoil the vine. When Marriage is under the attack of foxes, the children suffer most as they are the tender grapes that need to be protected and ripe enough to stand on their own. It becomes necessary to guard against foxes because their mission is to attack the vine and eat up the tender grapes.
The writer of Song of Solomon described Marriage as a vine with tender grapes. It is sad that some homes have been destroyed by foxes. These foxes are little and when not dealt with they become foxes that destroy the vine completely. The wife in the text was telling the husband to get rid of foxes that spoil the vine. What are these foxes? They are unforgiveness, bitterness, third parties, immorality, selfishness, pride, hatred, disunity and other negativities waging war against marriage. The husband should not loose guard and watch against all forms of foxes that may want to spoil the Marriage so that the marriage can be enjoyable and become a blessing as God intends it to be.
Prayer: Father deliver my home from foxes and give me the grace to guard against little foxes in Jesus name.
