Overcoming Addiction (1)

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

SUNDAY 9TH MARCH, 2024

TEXT: Isaiah 49:24-26

[24]Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

[25]But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

[26]And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

TOPIC: Overcoming Addiction (1)

      Addiction is a mighty that have held a lot of people captives. Some are addicted to gambling, alcohol, drugs and more. It is not a easy task to overcome addiction because strong demons are usually behind it and they are usually more powerful than their captives.

      Isaiah asked “ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty” ? This is a perfect illustration of someone that is addicted to substance or alcohol. It looks like an impossible task but the good news is that Jesus Christ is stronger than the demons behind Addiction .At the name of Jesus, demons tremble and fade away out of their inner places. Are you addicted , have faith in God and accept Jesus ad your Lord. He is the only one that can help you out.

Prayer: Father in your mercies deliver me from tyranny of addiction in Jesus name.

The LORD is in his sanctuary (3)

TOPIC: THE LORD IS IN HIS SANCTUARY (3)            The presence of God makes a difference between a church and any other place. In God’s presence there is peace, deliverance, and fullness of Joy. In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. No one can come to God’s presence and return empty handed.          Many a times when people come to church without experiencing a touch, it is because they do not come with expectations of receiving from God. Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.
