DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD
SUNDAY 30TH MARCH, 2025
TEXT: 2 Chronicles 18: 1, 19:2-3
[1]Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.
[2]And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.
[3]Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.
TOPIC: COVENANT PARTNERS (2)
Friendships are bonds and it usually involves sacrifices, inconveniences and responsibilities. Sometimes this friendship benefits are extended to their children . As they moved from being friends to a family as they give each other children as spouses. Jehoshaphat was a friend to Ahab, they were so close that they became covenant partners, one of the daughters of Ahab married the son of Jehoshaphat.
Only God knows what attracted a godly king to a wicked king that they became so close to the extent that he was willing to exchange his kingly robes with Ahab in a battlefield that almost claimed his live. His son was negatively influenced by Ahab’s daughter that he married. When you have ungodly friends as covenant partners, it will have negative impact on you and your generations. Watch your covenant partners, look beyond what you can benefit from them but the positive and godly values they can add to your life.
Prayer: Father deliver me from wrong covenant partners in Jesus name
