 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

WEDNESDAY 20TH NOVEMBER, 2024

TEXT: Luke 15:20-21

[20]And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

[21]And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE PRODIGAL SON (7)

One of the events that was noted in the scripture that brought joy in heaven is when a sinner find his way back to God. God is loving and compassionate to the extent that he is not interested in the death of sinner but rather repentance . The prodigal son’s story illustrated this.

The son was thinking that he has done so bad and deserved to be disowned. The father was not interested in his stories because he saw sincerity in his heart and a change of mind. The father had seen him afar off, the joy of seeing him again in his domain overwhelmed him that he was not interested in all his confession story. Confession is not enough, but genuine repentance. The prodigal son truly repented and found his way back home. It is never too late for you to retrace your steps and find your way back to God.

Action point: God is compassionate and willing to take back all sinners who truly repented.

Prayer: Father help me to retrace my steps wherever I have missed it in Jesus name.
