TEXT:1 John 5:21

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

TOPIC: KEEP YOURSELF FROM IDOLS

          The concept of Idol worshipping is often view as bowing down to strange gods. It is not limited to this but comprehensive as it involves whatever you treasure in your heart above the love of God. Simply put whatever you idolize in your heart and honour above the living God. The 21st century idols manifest in fashion, sports, social media, celebrity, fame, wealth and the likes. What you idolises takes your heart away from God, you allocate more time to it and if you find yourself making a choice between God and the idols of your heart, easily you will go for what your craves for. It is acknowledging God with one’s mouth but the heart is far away from God.

         The modern day idols is cancerous to the growth of a Christian , kill the Christian slowly till the Christian becomes worldly and lost his Spirituality. The best away to avoid this trap is to make conscious decision of not allowing idols into our heart and love God with all our hearts. Wherever a heart of a man is there lies his treasure. Set your heart above on things that are in heaven and be sold out to doing God’s will on earth regardless of the happenings around you.

Action point: keep yourself from idols or they keep you away from God

Prayer: I do away with every idol of my heart in my heart, let your love fill my heart in Jesus name.

In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.
