TEXT: GENESIS 13: 1-12

KEY VERSE : Gen 13:11

 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company:

TOPIC: GREEDINESS (3)

Greediness is chosing the best for yourself without considering the interest of others when you are availed opportunity. It is a strong desire to satisfy yourself alone without considering whether others are satisfied or not.

Lot was Abraham niece. Abraham did not treat him like an uncle but like his own very son. He trained him and made him a great shepherd to the extent that the land could not support their cattle. To avoid conflicts, Abraham suggested that they should move separate ways. He volunteered his rights as a father and told him to choose first. Lot looked up and chose the best for himself. Abraham did not disagree with him but accepted his choices. God saw it all and told Abraham that as far as he could see, he would give him as an inheritance. 

A greedy person is usually concern about now and he can do anything to ensure his satisfaction at the moment. Lot's choice seemed to be the best but the end of it is destruction and pains. Watch out for any iota of greediness in you because it is a venom that kills slowly.

Prayer: Father deliver me from every spirit of greediness in Jesus name

The LORD is in his sanctuary (3)

TOPIC: THE LORD IS IN HIS SANCTUARY (3)            The presence of God makes a difference between a church and any other place. In God’s presence there is peace, deliverance, and fullness of Joy. In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. No one can come to God’s presence and return empty handed.          Many a times when people come to church without experiencing a touch, it is because they do not come with expectations of receiving from God. Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.
