GREEDINESS (1)

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

MONDAY 23RD AUGUST,2021

TEXT: LUKE 12: 13-15

KEY VERSE: Luk 12:15

 Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

TOPIC: GREEDINESS (1)

        Greediness is a state of being greedy. It is a selfish or excessive desire for more than is needed or deserved, especially of money, wealth, food, or other possessions.

          Someone out of the crowd said, "Teacher, order my brother to give me a fair share of the family inheritance." Jesus was amazed that he responded : "man who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you". According to the law the eldest son usually receive  two times more than the other siblings while others share the rest. It is greediness on the part of the man after receiving his share and still wanted his brother to share his own possession with him.

          "Take care! Protect yourself against the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot." These are the words of Christ for us. Worthy of reflection as we go about today's activities.

Prayer: Father help to guard myself from every form of greed in Jesus name.

TOPIC: THE LORD IS IN HIS SANCTUARY (3)            The presence of God makes a difference between a church and any other place. In God’s presence there is peace, deliverance, and fullness of Joy. In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. No one can come to God’s presence and return empty handed.          Many a times when people come to church without experiencing a touch, it is because they do not come with expectations of receiving from God. Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.
