DO NOT LOVE THE WORLD

TEXT: I John 2:15

1Jo 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

TOPIC: DO NOT LOVE THE WORLD

            After many years as an Apostle and finally a Church father addressing the church from his wealth of experience. Apostle John warn against loving the world.  The word love use there is agape which is unconditional love and the word used for the world is cosmos which is the universe where we live. 

          The Prince of the world is the devil. The world is full of lusts and pride. Devil took Jesus to a very high mountain and showed him the beautiful things of this world ( houses, Fame,fleet of cars and any good thing the eyes may desire) with the promise to give all to him if only he will bow down for him and Christ response was that it is written worship the Lord your God and serve him only.

             Loving the world is prioritizing and pursuing wealth, riches, Fame and all the beautiful things of this world at the detriment of our devotion to God. Worship and serve only God. Let your heart be fixed on God and God will supply all your needs.

Prayer: Father let my heart be fixed on you and not on the things of the world in Jesus name.

The LORD is in his sanctuary (3)

TOPIC: THE LORD IS IN HIS SANCTUARY (3)            The presence of God makes a difference between a church and any other place. In God’s presence there is peace, deliverance, and fullness of Joy. In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. No one can come to God’s presence and return empty handed.          Many a times when people come to church without experiencing a touch, it is because they do not come with expectations of receiving from God. Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.
