STEWARDSHIP OF INFLUENCE (1)

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

MONDAY 19TH OCTOBER 2020

TEXT: NEHEMIAH 2: 1-9

TOPIC: STEWARDSHIP OF INFLUENCE (1)

KEY VERSE: Nehemiah 2:5

And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.

Stewardship of influence is simply maximizing your role to honor God in such a way that heaven and earth will rejoice.

Nehemiah was highly placed in the kingdom, he had first contact with the king as a result of his role in the kingdom. He was living comfortably but still burdened about his people in Jerusalem who were suffering and vulnerable to attacks due to broken walls of the city. He lost his peace and went to God in prayer. He approached the king and he used his influence to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

Any position you are occupying is for a purpose and the purpose is to bring glory and honour to God. Use your influence positively for the betterment of humanity and the church of God. It is evil to be complacent about the plight of the poor in your church and environs when you are living in abundance. You are not blessed to benefit yourself and family alone. Think of others too, affect them positively and God will be happy with you.

Prayer: Father help me to honour you with every position you have placed me to in Jesus name
