Settle your differences first

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD

SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST 2020

TEXT: MATTHEW 5 :25-26

TOPIC: SETTLE YOUR DIFFERENCES FIRST

KEY VERSE: Agree with your adversary quickly, Matthew 5:25a (NKJV)

In Jesus's time, under Roman law an adversary could force his opponent to go before the judge if he would settle on the way to the judge he would not be tried in court. Jesus uses this law to teach his audience that they should not allow disagreement or dispute to tarry longer. In tarrying longer it could lead to hatred and bitterness.

A believer should always make the first move to make things right with the second party in case of any disagreement or dispute. Conflicts mend more easily if you are willing to make peace right away. God expect us to get things right with people around us before we come to his presence for worship

Prayer: Father help me to follow the path of peace in moment of dispute in Jesus name.
