Do not retaliate

WEDNESDAY 19TH AUGUST 2O2O

TEXT:MATTHEW 5:38-44

TOPIC: DO NOT RETALIATE

KEY VERSE: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. Matt 5:39

             The law "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" was given to the Judge to exercise equality and justice in terms of offence and corresponding punishment but  some are using the law as an excuse to take revenge on people that hurt them. People still try to excuse their acts of revenge by saying "I was just doing to her what he did to me" 

                When we are offended our first reaction is to get even but Christ teaches we should express with love back. If you are slapped for doing what is right, instead of reacting  by giving a fierce slap simply respond back in love by walking away. Such a response will put an end to fight. This is not natural, it is super natural, by teaching his disciples not to retaliate, Jesus keeps us from taking law into our hands. Only God can give us grace and strength to love as he does.

Prayer: Father give me the strength to love others as you love them in Jesus name

TOPIC: THE LORD IS IN HIS SANCTUARY (3)            The presence of God makes a difference between a church and any other place. In God’s presence there is peace, deliverance, and fullness of Joy. In the old Testament, men of faith often raise up an altar to symbolize his presence and praise him there. The church is the modern day temple where there are altars set up to meet God. No one can come to God’s presence and return empty handed.          Many a times when people come to church without experiencing a touch, it is because they do not come with expectations of receiving from God. Your vision will speak

 DAILY INSIGHT WITH GOD SATURDAY 4TH JANUARY, 2025 TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3 [3]For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. TOPIC: YOUR VISION WILL SPEAK          Vision is time bound. Writing down of vision, planning, setting out to fulfill the goals are all processes that are necessary before vision can become a reality.        Your vision will definitely speak, if only you can wait for it. Great things do not usually happen suddenly. There is a moment to plant, watered and patiently wait for it to germinate. The bigger the vision, the bigger the time it would take to become a reality. Do not give up on your vision , it will speak at the appropriate time. Prayer: Father help me to patiently wait for me vision to become a reality in Jesus name.
