Text:Matthew 21:12-17
Topic: Gentleness is not weakness
Key verse: And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, Matt 21:12
Certain people usually consider gentle people to be weak, coward and timid. People at times also see them as someone they can take advantage of but this is not true.
Jesus while on earth was so gentle and humble that his slayers did not even recognize him. Jesus overturned the tables of money changers and with a whip of cords He drove out those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves in the sanctity of the temple. He said " do not make my father's house a house of merchandise.
This act of Jesus was not that of a weak or cowardly man. Being gentle does not make you to be quiet when you need to take actions. Gentleness is the strength of God at work in the lives of his children who are in tune with him and live a consecrated life.
Prayer: Father Let your gentleness exalt me to where you want me to be in Jesus name
