Text: Joshua 6: 22-25, Matthew 1:5
Topic: Experiencing God's kindness (2)
Key verse: But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho--and she lives among the Israelites to this day. Jos 6:25
God's kindness is not a respecter of person. To experience God's kindness, you have to believe in God and believing is not enough until your actions show that you believe. Believe without corresponding action is nothing.
Rahab was a professional prostitute, she heard about the God of Israel and she chose to believe. Her act of kindness to the spies from Israel confirmed this. This act of kindness made him a citizen of Israel, her life and that of her families were spared from destruction and she was part of the lineage of Christ.
God's kindness can be experienced if you believe and your actions correspond with your belief. Any kindness you do to others, you do it on to God and he will surely repay you back great beyond your expectation.
Prayer: Father help me to believe in you and enable me to be kind to others so that I can experience your kindness in Jesus name
