Text : Exodus 18:13-24
Topic : Heed to counsel
Golden Text :Exo 18:24 Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he said.
In the multitude of counselors there is safety. Moses could have died before he clocked one hundred and twenty years out of burn out and stress if he had not heeded to advice of his father in law.
Jethro counseled Moses to share the work of judging  the people among trusted and capable people while he deal with the difficult case so as to save him from burn out and stress.Moses despite his status as the leader of Israel, skillful, educated, the mouth piece of God to the nation and the number one citizen of the Land with great influence still heeded to counsel from ordinary Shepherd who happened to be his father in law without despising his counsel.
Counsel is needed in every area of life. Are you struggling in your career, business or relationship ? Are you about giving up on that job or relationship? Before you quit that relationship or job seek counsel from experts in that field. Just a counsel from the right person can save that job or relationship.A good counsel will not compel you, confuse you but it will rather be specific, clear, detailed and give you the confidence to make the right decision. Whatever your status in life, heed to counsel because it is one of the many ways danger and crises can be averted in human lives and relationships.
Prayer: Father surround me with good counselors and help me to need to counsel in Jesus name
